Yup, someone just had to walk in and complain. ;)

I see no use in complaining. It's over a day's worth of refined dilithium, generous if you ask me. Thank you, Cryptic. My Jhanell thanks you from the bottom of her heart.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

Refined Dil is Refined Dil. Who cares what the cost is, now you have more to use for whatever. I swear Cryptic could give away 1000 Zen and people would complain because "they can't buy what they really want with that." Just be happy it's not unrefined and it's lumped onto that massive pile most people who would complain have.

Refined dil isn't a static value.

And as for time it's a well known fact that cryptic aren't the best at clock reading.

I blame philip grey, the so called temporal agent who insists the time line is fine regardless of the progression of the temporal war and always pops up to tell you that when you're in the middle of doing something and at an unspecified time after logging in.

Nice and always useful. This bit is being added for more competitive reputation items.

Gobsmacked at the complaints in Zone chat over the 'worth' of this FREE item. Would they complain if their boss gave them a day and abit's wage for free!? If I complained that my 'free' pocket money wasn't much, my mother would've taken it back and then stopped my pocket money for a week! Lol.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Exactly! Still, there's always going to be people complaining about every giveaway. It started with the costumes and just kept moving. There's been some complaining about it on these forums too. Some even ask if maybe some could ask for the dilithium if they happen to have one of the giveaways.

Ridiculous. I'm never *that* disappointed if I already have a giveaway. Means I got it during a giveaway. For the last several years it's been the formal suit, because that was the only costume being given away. Imagine my pleased smile when I got three more costumes this time around. Four for my F2P.

Yup, that's the thing. Those that have the item already haven't lost out on anything and yet they think they are entitled to a 'compensatory' free item.

Yeah sure, free stuff is better than nothing, but to be fair, day 1 was worth $20, while day 3 was less than $0.50. Obviously, free stuff is freaking sweet, and I'm not complaining, but it's easy to see how other people would have expected a lot more and only ended up being disappointed.

The monetary value of a Free item is...

    ... wait for it

    ... FREE!

Be glad that Cryptic is doing giveaways and accept these FREE items in the spirit in which they are given.

Refined dil has no real world value, not even 36 cents worth. in reality the free gift is actually worthless. i'm not bothered by 10k of dilthium though, currency has never had a hold on me.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.

    Eventually!

They don't send stuff off to the consoles early to bypass the delay between sony/ms getting them and being applied to the game so they should arrive at somepoint.

Being console there'll no doubt be zero info given in either of the log in screens as is sadly the case far too often.

The phoenix upgrade tokens from the boxes were very cool, and you can't complain about extra refined dil. But I missed the first day, which happened last year too, I always seem to miss out on the costumes.

So far the other giveaways were worth more than this 10K dilithium in comparison, but it is still free & very easily attained. I'll state again, to me this seemed like a last minute gotta do something in a hurry type of action especially since it was tardy as well. Nevertheless, that's 10K more refined dilithium than we had the day before.
