Specialization uses re. Temporal commando etc

I have acheived full temporal commando achieved but cannot figure out how to use these in my ship setups for my players in combat mode
Hoping this makes sense

    Commando ultimate (15 points) does give a ship Mastery - Demolition Teams, though not very useful.

    Hello, from what I can fathom of your post you filled the primary spec tree "Temporal Operative" and the secondary spec tree "Commando".

    You only need to select the former as active primary and the latter as active secondary. Neither includes any abilities you need to activate in combat. You just get the multiple passive benefits for your character automatically.

    If you're wanting to use BOFF abilities related to a Primary Specialization, you will need to train a BOFF in the Specialization first. Create the Training Manual in Crafting. Train the BOFF that you want to give the abilities to on their Skills tab.

    To add to what they have said, once you have trained your Bridge Officers to use the Space Abilities, you have put them in specific ships. Only T6 Ships can use Specialization Active Abilities (the Passive Abilities work regardless of the ship). Even then, only certain T6 Ships will be able to any given Specializations. You have to find one with the proper Hybrid Bridge Officer Seat. In this case, any ship with Temporal in its name will work (Temporal Dreadnaught or Temporal Light Cruiser, for example).

    Commando has no Ship Abilities, active or passive. It only works in Ground Combat.
