This assignment chain could use an update.
It uses up precious material (3 Z-particle, 2 Tetrazine Gas, 2 Rubium, 3 Beta-Tachyon) better used for R&D and takes multiple Duty Officer assignments to complete with only mediocre (very rare Mark XII) results at best (unless it's been changed recently, I'm only just started on the 1st stage).
You might want to make the resulting item ultra rare to epic and/or unique. It's unusually complicated (takes multiple assignments to complete). (Edit: Don't worry, I'll probably finish the assignments before any update reaches me.)
You get same or better results with Engineering Assignment: Experimental Console and it takes less time and only one assignment and no extra material.
