The Vengeance and Fleet Pralim both have 5 forward weapon slots, both have 3 rear weapon slots, both have 5 Eng, 4 tac, and 2 Sci consoles.

Fleet Arbiter has exactly the same thing.

Arbiter has access to Intel just like the Vengeance and Arbiter can cloak.. though it requires a console. The Arbiter and Vengence both have access to Weapon Systems Efficiency cruiser command.

The only thing the Pralim has outside of the shared similarity is the Hangar Bay.

In the end, none of them are an exact match for the Vengeance which is kind of the point. The Vengeance is the only one of the entire lot with 2 different specialist seats (Intel/Temporal Operative.)

When it's all said and done, no ship on the Fed side can quite match the Vengeance.

I know the scimmie still tops the dps boards. I have that ship. Hard to match the boost of 5 SRO bridge officers. Goes a long way to help getting most shots as Crits . I ended up getting the battlecruiser 3 pack. Actually had a lot of fun leveling up the arbiter to get the trait. Lot more nimble then vengeance. Just transferred gear from my scimmie to the mogi warbird t6 whatever it's called. Going to level that one up to. Did not check if trait carried over. Regardless game was getting super boring. Flying around in a few new ships gives me more motivation to log in after 6 years in the game.

The morrigu is my favorite ship...by FAR. It's a lot of fun and it's one of the best ships in terms of power in the game. Great fun that ship.

fun is subjective, Power, assuming we speak of firepower, is actually not...and the morrigu sadly does not really register "among the best".
having said that, I love it too, best design for romulans imho.

If you're saying the Morrigu does not rank among the best in terms of raw power then you're doing something horribly wrong.

The Morrigu is without question or doubt one of the best ships in STO.

both the scimitar and the pilot ship are better...not even sure where the Morrigu ranks in the DPS league. Find the highest parsed ISA run within the DPS league table of a morrigu and you know at which place the ship approximately ranks. Not that hard to verify.
I'd put it among the top 10 overall and 3rd best romulan ship, but that's because I'm actually biased towards the morrigu.

Morrigu is hands-down the best single-purchase a romulan can get. DPS-friendly trait, a very good ship with OSS3 potential and APB3+FAW3. Not to mention that the console coming with the ship is a great survivability clicker. It's fast, maneuvrable and also can slot EPTW3 (DPS-friendly on energy builds, especially beam-related builds).

Downsides: Fragile, 7 weapons+Heavy weapon, 4-3 setup. But still is the best single 3k zen you can spend on a ship if you don't plan on making a larger purchase.

Meanwhile - variants for the Vengeance in dps terms at the other factions: KDF - Gorkon (science) battlecruiser /flagship (4 tac consoles and Sensor Analysis) and Rom: Scimitar T6 Flagships.

    Top ships for DPS pugs:
FED: Tac oddy t6, Arbiter (fleet arbiter), Intel Vengeance class
KDF: Gorkon Flagship, Kurak (fleet mogh T6)
ROM: Scimitar flagships, Morrigu T6 (fleet mogai t6)

take what you will. Hope it helps.

one of the best romulan ships, sure. One of the best (to me that's top 5), if you count the other factions and cross faction ships, not so much anymore. So it may be among the top 10 dps ships available to romulans.
It's cheap though, but the single T6 scimitar is even cheaper since it already comes at fleet t6 level.

Yes the t6 scimmy is better. The pilot ship, unless you take zero aggro is not because the pilot maneuver you need to use to stay alive under fire eats into your dps. So yeah in a specific premade with a good agro tank it's better. Other than the vengeance however, i don't see anything outside the romulan that is better now. Before the expolder nerf, yeah i could see some others...now...not so much. So scimmy, vengeance then morrigu.

I don't even disagree with your reasoning for the most part, but what you say is not actually data to determine that. I suggested the DPS league, because they actually try out each and every conceivable combination possible. And if I'm not mistaken, I can't recall seeing a morrigu build anywhere in the upper ranks...I can see however some other ship builds among the top 10 dps builds. Sure there are 100k + builds for the morrigu, but there are 100k builds for almost every other ship.
also, I can't see how the pilot ships are more fragile than the morrigu...surviving in a morrigu cuts into DPS aswell, not really exclusive to pilot ships. That ship is fragile too. Your reasons are kind of subjective, although well thought out, but ultimately not objective.
Objective would be a list of highest dps run per ship class...this list doesn't exist in that form, but it can be extrapolated by looking at what ships are used within the highest tiers of the league. Actually I have never seen a morrigu in those videos.

Not really for surviving in a morrigu. The console and quantum absorb is enough to keep me alive with no heal boff abilities. Even on elite. I usually carry a hazard still, but the valdore console take care of shield heals at high dps. So i can load up on hurty skills.

Agreed, the Morrigu is a deceptively tanky ship.

The only people that think it doesn't rank among the best are people who have never actually flown the Morrigu. For me, I actually pull better DPS with the Morrigu then with the Scimitar just because I have an easier time getting into the best position and making sure I stay on the flanks. The Scimitar is still a beast and in some cases I find it superior, but I still consider the Morrigu to be tied for the best ship the Romulans have.

The Pilot escort is nice too, but given the total picture (console, trait, etc) the Morrigu is superior. The only thing I give the Pilot ship is the fact that it comes at fleet level from the C-Store.
