Problems with Romulans

illuminat1illuminat1 Member Posts: 7 Arc User
So one of the problems with Romulans in my opinion is unlike the federation which seems to have a new ship every patch is that Romulans aren't getting as many new ships. I know this has probably been another topic on this and what but cant the different factions be at least evened out on the ships they have access to before they add new federation ships? Even Klingons don't have the amount of ships as Federation it is disappointing and disheartening at the difference between the 3 factions and the number of ships that they can fly.

The last ships released to the c-store were the light cruisers, which had Romulan and KDF versions. Before that were the allied escorts - which had Romulan and KDF versions. Before that were the T6 multi mission ships. Which had Romulan and KDF versions.

While it's true that there's still quite an issue in terms of equality it's gotten a lot better.
Just wish rom & kdf would also have gotten a bunch of ships with a full temporal spec aside from the 31st century bunch.
But overall both the kdf & rom shipyards are in a pretty good state.

Romulans have the T6 Scimitars. They win.

    I second this.

So..kdf & rom have 2 ships each outside of the 31c ships with full temporal spec or intel spec for that matter..

    Klingon only D7 Temporal Battlecruiser
Klingon only Durgath Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Battlecruiser

    Romulan only T’liss Temporal Warbird
Romulan only Valkis Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Warbird

Full Intel is a bit worse for Kdf..

    Klingon
    Qib Intel Battlecruiser

    Romulan Republic
    Faeht Intel Warbird
Kelvin Timeline T'laru Intel Carrier Warbird

Okay, well since I'm a bit new to the forums and PWE doesn't want me to create a new thread YET!

I figure I just come here and lay it out flat like one heck of a pissing contest for PWE, Cryptic, and ARC so here we go!

    Okay complaint,

    Quest: "Memory Lane"
    Subpart: "Time Capsules"
    System: "Virinat"

this is the lovely system during your level grind as a Romulan you return to verify that lovely Tal Shiar lady that Tovan so romantically knew was telling the truth. In this case?

Scanning derelict ships for any signs of weapon signatures.

    Here's the problem!

THERE'S NO HIGHLIGHT OR MARKER EXCEPT ON YOUR LOVELY MAP OR MINI MAP IN THAT CASE TO FLY TO THE HIGHLIGHTED CIRCLE AND SCAN FOR DEBRE!

    OMG PWE THAT'S BRILLIANT!

In game interface you can highlight an ally or enemy, but NOT a derelict ship, to top it off, flying all over the place on a map WAY OVER detailed that it lags up the game!

Now this normally wouldn't bother me, but the fact that this is a required mission to progress?

I seen Bioware, and other gaming companies come up with better software patches than this trash.

It almost makes one wonder if these green blooded goblins that work for Robert Hong Xiao really care about their product.

    Speaking of Legacy of Romulus?

OMG IT SEEMS THEY HAVEN'T FIXED ALL THE BUGS SINCE THAT EXPANSION, BRILLIANT!

Wow, so that's now what? Three years?

Same bugs? Same Issues, and yet this company is promoting NEW content without patching over the old ones?

WOW! PWE must be proud of themselves to have a software system that rivals Windows 7 BEFORE the Windows 10 Release!

I think you all know what I'm talking about.

PWE you want my money? You better get that head out of the Lazy Boy Chair bending over looking for China and back on your shoulders and start delivering or else see the Support Tickets and consumers pile up in apathy.

    You complacent company, BRILLIANT!

Yeah, you can only drive one ship at a time. :D

They fixed some? (not counting the ones that help players) I must have missed that.

Complaint #4734 regarding Cryptic's favoring of Fed ships over the other factions. I know this WONT be the last. Folks, its been that way for several years now, and coupled with the fact that much of the focus of the Star Trek story is Federation/Starfleet-centric, none of this should be all that surprising. It stinks that Cryptic advertises a multi-faction game and tends to favor one faction with ships and story content over the others. However, they've gotten MUCH better than where they were a couple of years ago when there was fed ship after fed ship and the KDF and Roms got zilch. Plus, as @coldnapalm said, Rom ships are some of best (performance-wise) and probably the most (overall) aesthetically pleasing ships in the entire game. That's not to say they don't have a ways to go. They do, but its not as bad as you might think and not nearly as bad as it used to be. My two ec.
