Heavy Weapon Slot

Heavy Weapon slot made me remember the Heavy Bop and how it hasn't come back to use *yet*. It would be cool to have some heavy ships like that with modes kinda like these new ones do. It would also be very good on the enhanced battle cloak ships too so we could make setups around those being the projectile type used so when decloaked still having a useful setup.

Few side things for the federation side that doesn't have these. Revamp the ablative armor for intrepid/pathfinder for a new variant where it uses temporary health and a higher damage resist rating rather than a 10-12 second gimmick and when that health runs out it drops that mode and after awhile it regenerates that health so it could be a bomber like the EBC's are just in a different way. Then armitage mode using a rapid fire of torpedoes that has an echo location mechanic so it can go find ships in nebulas

There are no "modes" on any of the new ship. The heavy wepon slot is ecaxtly that, an extra weapon slot for T5u & T6 escorts/raptors/raiders/etc. to put a new subcategory of weapons into that pretty much works like any other weapon.

As for the "heavy bop", the reason why it hasn't come back *yet* is because it's pointelss. Unless you're bent on flying a bop outside the B'rel family it has no reason to exist. Just as frail as the EBC bop, slower than the EBC bop, can't pull off the ECB bop's fancy stuff.
If you're desperate for a heavy raider try the T5u kazon, T6 herald or T5u breen (porbably gets T6 this winter).

where might one get a heavy weapon

If you own a ship that has a heavy weapons slot, you'll find a generic heavy weapon in the dilithium store reclaim tab. If you don't own a qualifying ship, the only way yo get a heavy weapon is to buy a qualifying ship....
