Greetings, Admirals!
Welcome to Episodes 141-145 of Let's Play Star Trek Online - Winters Fed Walkthrough.
This series is a complete walkthrough of every aspect of the game - Story Missions, Reputations, DOFFing, Admiralty, BOFFS, Research and Development, Fleets, Crafting and End-Game Content etc. Every player, new and veteran, will find them a valuable source of information, tips and tricks. You may even learn something new! This could be anything from an accolade to a system that you didn’t fully understand or helpful hints on earning in game currencies like Energy Credits or Dilithium.
There will be a brand new episode released every Monday through Friday.
In Todays Episodes:
In this episode we play the story mission "Time and Tide". At the start of this mission it is very story based with a fair bit of running around. Once we get past that we get stuck into some ground combat which is broken up nicely and doesn't come at us all at once. From there we then move to space combat and again it's broken up nicely. Once that is complete it's back into story mode for a little bit. Once we get past this is back to space and more combat and then it's pretty much the end of the mission. After we complete the mission we then spend 5 spec points that we have built up and complete our third spec tree.
In this episode we play the story mission "The Temporal Front". The start of this mission is very story driven with a fair bit of running around. When we do finally get into some combat it is pretty brief then it's back to story mode for a little bit. Once we get past this we then move into space where we do have some brief combat again. From there we beam aboard another ship and there is some intense ground combat. After we get finished with that we move back to space for the final part of the mission.
In this episode we play the story mission "Temporal Reckoning". At the start of this mission we pretty much jump straight into space combat after a brief cut scene. Once we have finished with that we then beam aboard a space station and move into some ground combat. This continues for about 10 minutes after which we move back to space and the rest of the mission consists of space combat.
In this episode we play the story mission "Ragnarok". This mission starts off with a pretty short bit of space combat then we beam aboard a ship for some ground combat. This continues for about 5 minutes and can be a little intense at times. From there we then move back to space for some more space combat. This part of the mission is a little harder as we do die a couple of times but it is pretty fun. Once this stage is over we then move back to ground and this part is pretty challenging. Right at the end of the mission we then have a cut scene and that concludes the mission.
In this episode we play the story mission "Echoes of Light". This mission does have some interesting items for mission rewards especially if you are running a Disrupter build. The reasons for this are pointed out at the start of the mission. When we do get started with the mission it is very science heavy at the start but not in a boring way. The mission does have a few surprises for us which come through normal game play. When we do eventually get into some combat it's not very hard at all.
