Greetings, Admirals!
Welcome to Episodes 116-120 of Let's Play Star Trek Online - Winters Fed Walkthrough.
This series is a complete walkthrough of every aspect of the game - Story Missions, Reputations, DOFFing, Admiralty, BOFFS, Research and Development, Fleets, Crafting and End-Game Content etc. Every player, new and veteran, will find them a valuable source of information, tips and tricks. You may even learn something new! This could be anything from an accolade to a system that you didn’t fully understand or helpful hints on earning in game currencies like Energy Credits or Dilithium.
There will be a brand new episode released every Monday through Friday.
In Todays Episodes:
In this episode we play the story mission "Breaking The Wall". Before we start this mission though we first spend another 5 spec points and fully complete our Strategist Secondary specialization. This unlocked another Starship Trait for us and we briefly talk about it before beginning the mission. Unfortunately we do get a couple of CTD's in this episode but they have all been edited out.
In this episode we play the story mission "With Our Last Breath". This mission is again on Kobali Prime. This is another mission that can be done once every 20 hours for a choice of either Delta or Iconian Marks and Elite Marks. The mission it's self is a zone wide mission so that means that other players who are on the same map as you can assist in completing this mission.
In this episode we play two story missions, the first of which is "Our Chance for Peace" and the second one is "The Dragon's Deceit". The first mission is pretty short and is the reason why we do two missions in this episode. We do find out something really interesting near the end of the first mission so be sure to keep an eye out for that. When we get on to the second mission we travel to Kartella Prime. This mission has very little space activities to do and mostly takes place on the ground. There is a new mechanic in this mission that we haven't used before which is shown to us as we play. This mission also unlocks a new PvE Queue for us as well. Once the mission is complete it will unlock the "Bug Hunt" PvE Queue. We will do this queue much later in the series.
In this episode we play the story mission "Alliances". The mission reward item is worth noting as it is very good. Upon successful completion we will get a Very Rare Hierarchy Boff. The reason why this Boff is so good is that it has two space traits but the one that is most useful is the "Pirate" space trait. This is basically a +1.5 to all outgoing damage which may not seem a lot it is every little bit that helps. This mission also features all of the Voyager cast members that we have seen up to this point.
In this episode we begin playing the story mission "Better With Friends". This is again one of those missions that requires us to do a number of patrol mission in order to complete the mission. The first of these patrol mission isn't very difficult but it does require some effort because there are a number of small vessels attacking us. We do also earn an accolade from normal game play in this mission as well. The second patrol mission involves a lot of, travel to A to B to C etc. All in all we are able to complete it without much trouble. It does however involve a new mechanic which is to tow some damaged ship to a location. This isn't very hard and we are able to finish it pretty easily.
