Greetings, Admirals!
Welcome to Episodes 86-90 of Let's Play Star Trek Online - Winters Fed Walkthrough.
This series is a complete walkthrough of every aspect of the game - Story Missions, Reputations, DOFFing, Admiralty, BOFFS, Research and Development, Fleets, Crafting and End-Game Content etc. Every player, new and veteran, will find them a valuable source of information, tips and tricks. You may even learn something new! This could be anything from an accolade to a system that you didn’t fully understand or helpful hints on earning in game currencies like Energy Credits or Dilithium.
There will be a brand new episode released every Monday through Friday.
In Todays Episodes:
In this episode we play the story mission "Assimilation". This mission begins with a space battle against the Borg and the Undine. When you have completed that battle we then beam over to a Borg Cube. The ground portion of this mission is a little intense or can be a little intense at points but we manage it without much difficulty or a huge number of deaths. we also get a little hidden accolade in this mission too so that is something that accolade hunters may want to watch out for.
In this episode we play the story mission "Fluid Dynamics". This is also the final mission in the Borg story arc. Throughout all of this mission we are battling in space and there is no ground portion to it at all which doesn't happen too often in the game. We start off by travelling to A to B to C etc. and scanning a number of objects. Eventually we do come to a large number of Borg ships and we have to battle our way through until we finally come to a Borg diamond. After defeating the Diamond we then travel back to normal space and this concludes the mission.
In this episode we play the story mission "Sphere of Influence". At the beginning of this episode though we briefly talk about a piece of gear that you can get from this mission. In this mission we meet Ambassador Worf voiced by Michael Dorn from Star Trek: TNG and Star Trek: DS9. Roughly around half way through this mission we are show how to get a couple of hidden accolades so any accolade hunters out there may want to take note of these. This mission also allows us to fly a new ship which is the Obelisx Carrier.
In this episode we play the mission "Supply Woes". This mission is part of the Solanae Dyson Shpere story arc. This is one of those really short missions that only has a handful of objectives to complete and is designed to introduce us to a new system or adventure zone. After we complete that mission we then move on to the next one which is "The Contested Zone". Again this is the same type of mission as the previous one and is designed to introduce us to a new area, i.e. "The Contested Zone". After completing this mission we then do the mission "Omega Standoff". This simply requires us to go to the Dyson Sphere Ground Battlezone in order to complete the mission. Once we have done that we then go back to the contested zone and do a full play through of that area.
In this episode we play the story mission "A Step Between Stars". In this mission we meet Admiral Tuvok who is voice by Tim Russ from Star Trek: Voyager. Near the beginning of this episode we are shown how to get a hidden accolade so accolade hunters will probably want to take note of that. There is also one or two accolades that you can pick up from this mission from normal game play. This mission is a little unique in that there is a random element to it. What is meant by that is that there are a number of differences that can occur each time you play the mission. Roughly about a third of the way through this mission we pick up a new piece of gear which is a Solanae EV Suit. There are a total of 3 different ones that you can get an each time you play the mission it is totally random which one you get. This mission also allows us to fly another new ship which is the Solanae Science Dyson Destroyer. Just as it was with all previous ones we do not get to keep this ship but it's a nice little change and addition to the game.
