Greetings, Admirals!
Welcome to Episodes 81-85 of Let's Play Star Trek Online - Winters Fed Walkthrough.
This series is a complete walkthrough of every aspect of the game - Story Missions, Reputations, DOFFing, Admiralty, BOFFS, Research and Development, Fleets, Crafting and End-Game Content etc. Every player, new and veteran, will find them a valuable source of information, tips and tricks. You may even learn something new! This could be anything from an accolade to a system that you didn’t fully understand or helpful hints on earning in game currencies like Energy Credits or Dilithium.
There will be a brand new episode released every Monday through Friday.
In Todays Episodes:
In this episode we play the story mission "Cold Comfort". This is a fairly short mission only taking us about 9 minutes to complete. This mission is unique in that there is no combat whatsoever in the whole mission. You start off my doing some rescue or aid work and then you have to do an interrogation.
In this episode we play the story mission "Cold Case". This mission requires the use of an ability that we have not used before which is to place our Boff on very specific locations in order to activate something on the map. Once we are finished with this we get into some space combat which isn't very difficult and we make our way to the next system. When we arrive we just have to do some scanning and again we move on to yet another system. After we have finished travelling to different systems we end up in the Ravah System and we have a nice bit of ground combat before we finish up the mission.
In this episode we play the story mission "Cold Storage". This mission is basically broken up into two separate parts. The first part is a short space battle and when we are done with that we beam down to a planet and from there it is all ground combat. This mission also give us the third piece of the Breen set.
In this episode we play the story mission "Where Angels Fear to Tread". This is the first story mission in the Borg Advance story arc. At the start of this mission we are shown a new item called a "Frequency Remodulator". This is pretty much required when fighting the Borg.
In this episode we play the story mission "A Gathering Darkness". This mission is basically broken up into three different parts. The first part is in space where you battle about half a dozen Borg ships. Then you beam down to the planet and you have to fight your way many layers of Borg drones to progress the mission. Once you are done on the planet you then beam back to your ship and chase after a Borg ship and once you reach a way point it is basically the end of the mission.
