Are you joking? back to the shuttle

From your communications I know that you (Devs) knew about the fact that the last
patch forced many players on their shuttle.
This last patch did the same.
I expected a patch for this bug instead what I didn't expected was to be forced back on my shuttle.
This is unprofessional.

Last week there was a workaround, take a ship from the c-store to restore your current ship, I hope
it still works.

Not only did this patch not fix it, it did indeed break the workaround as well. On my Tac toon, the only ship I can't select is my Fleet ship, which can't be reclaimed if dismissed.​​

Indeed. There are more problems now.
I discharged a ship and claimed a new one. Now I can select only some ship in my roster.
I can't use my dreadnought that was my ready ship before the patch (fortunately in my case it was not a fleet version so
maybe I can discharge it and claim it again, the only problem is that I will loose all my loadouts).

I like STO, its has a lot to offer in terms of game play.

That being said, since I started playing about a month ago, the constant bugs that keep me from logging in or playing the game are making me seriously consider cancelling my subscription.

This bug is another game stopper.

I play games as a hobby for fun and relaxation, and it is not fun or relaxing dealing with a game that does not let me play it.

Same issue over here. Even worse, that's 6000 Zen useless sitting on my KDF alts atm. T6 Fleet Qib that I can't use and a T5-U Kar'fi that isn't fixed yet, while is still not rezzing completely after months. Time that you guys refund me for your mishaps.

Logged in after the download and immediately jumped into a Tholian Alert. Surprised to find I was in my shuttle!

Unable to select my Malon Battlecruiser and strangely I've only got 3 ships in drydock yet STO reports only 1 drydock slot free.

Rather annoyed.

My friend is having the same problem. She logged into sector space and was in her shuttle suddenly, pretty much what everyone is describing here except one dry dock slot is blacked out.

Lovely... Where is my ship? The one with my best equipment on it. I logged out last night in my Defiant Class Escort, and log in today in my Runabout with no Defiant even listed on my character screen... I sure hope Cryptic is fixing this

Edit: I was able to strip the gear off the ship in ESD and discharge and reclaim the ship, but this is NOT an ideal solution. Lockbox ships cannot be reclaimed and certain other ships cannot be reclaimed either. I also understand that this is not working for everyone. Please fix this bug ASAP

2nd Edit: Seems this bug is affecting my other characters as well. I am not logging in until I hear this has been fixed. Some of my characters are using Lockbox ships that I cannot discharge and reclaim.

I had this problem last week and the discharging work around worked for me. This week I found myself on my shuttle again this time discharging a ship didn't fix the problem. I'm able to ready some of my starships but not all of them including the fleet ship I normally use. This only happened on one character too btw. This is some b.s. though not being able to use the ship I want and paid for.

I wanted to add it might be a dry dock problem. When I look at my dry docks on that character they look off. It says I'm using 10 slots but 1 is empty and another is on a line by itself. The UI looks funky.

I just noticed a glitch with this bug. I was able to ready a starship that I had in my list (just not the one I'd used before today's patch). I just tried exiting with one of my other starships and reloading. I'm able to ready many of my ships, just not my command battlecruiser.

This is what I was told in reply to the problem "Thank you for contacting us. I understand that you're having issues using your ships. Please try to ready your ship again as it was already resolved in our most recent patch. For more information about the patch notes, please refer to the link below: https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/9774153 Thank you for your patience and understanding." Obviously the issue wasn't resolved cuz I can't use the ship I want...

I am, likewise, experiencing this issue. I logged in and went to sector space to start on the Anniversary dailies and I had my shuttle back. My ship I had selected was not selected. So, I went to ship selector and tried to select ship. No good. I tried the workaround like other folks with re-claiming a ship and the workaround is broken for me as well. This is a game stopper. Can someone from dev team let us know when a real fix for this will be issued?

EDIT: FYI, this is the Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer lockbox ship. My Dry Dock looks fine except the "first" ship slot is listed as blank now. I equipped another ship for the interim so I can play. Thank you for looking into this.

Ok, they did this to me too. WTF? The patch was supposed to fix this, not make it worse. I am currently locked out of all of my ships that are good. I can only use newly acquired ships. This is bogus, seriously I am not waiting an entire week for them to fix this. I actually can not play... Fix please for the love of god. This time, test the fix too, that would be great, since I would like to be able to at the least do missions.... Jeez.... The only thing this patch did, was removed the work around. It literally made it worse.

It is rather baffling that the devs didn't catch something like this before pushing the patch to live, as it is a rather obvious bug.

It is clear that there was no QA testing done here. They did not even try. That is what is so annoying, if they had tested the fix even the slightest amount then they would have discovered this bug... But now we get to wait, possibly a week or more before some of us can even attempt to play. That is not right, that is somebody slipping up at their job. I hope I am wrong, but at the very least, I would like an extension on the 6th year event, since it is all but unplayable.

Also, if you get another ship, one that has never touched Dry Dock, then you can fly it. So effectively just cough up some money or use a crummy mirror ship until you can fly the ships you already own again.... frustrating does not even describe this bug.

I also wanted to add I tried to activate one of my 10 dry docked ship (which looked off with the 1st slot being empty) and after I did this a free spot wasn't opened. So basically I'm left not able to use my fleet ship and 1 less dry dock slot then I should have.

Absolutely astounding. Bug is definitely not fixed and the work around no longer works for me either. After claiming a ship, I can select and ready other starships that were in my roster but not the ship I was flying prior to the patch, my D'kyr. So we're playing a game about captaining a starship, it's a bonus dilithium weekend, it's the second-week bonus for the new episode, and there's an anniversary event but I can't actually captain my starship. It would be like an amazingly funny joke if it weren't so frustrating.

I lost the a T6 Fleet Exporation Cruiser that I can't do anything with it. I click on the ready ship and dry dock buttons, but no action is taken for either readying it or drydocking it. I guess it is time to stop buying fleet ships.

Tried to fix the issue with repairing the ship at the shipyard. No luck with that, coz the ship wasn't damaged at all, before this bug hit me.

I'm seeing this as well. I logged in to do the Omega Particle Daily and noticed that I was stuck in my shuttle. Again. I attempted the workaround, but that only allowed me to move to one of my other ships instead of the one I wanted (a Fleet T6 HEC). I then noticed that one of my Drydock slots is empty.

Cryptic's patch notes claim its fixed but clearly it isn't. >_> If anything, it got worse.

I'm not sure if there are reproduction steps. I can only tell you what I've observed about it and what I did to try to get around it.

Client version: ST.55.20160110c.25

• The first and most visible symptom is logging in on a character that displays as normal (shows their active ship) and finding out that you have been punted into a shuttle once you get in-game.
• The second symptom is being unable to switch back to your ship. None of the "Ready Starship" buttons do anything when clicked on.
• I resorted to the old workaround of reclaiming a C-Store ship. I made it my active ship on the spot (which worked). However, I still could not swap back into the specific ship I had before (a T6 Fleet Heavy Escort Carrier). The "Ready Starship" button for it didn't work. It wasn't greyed out, but clicking it did absolutely nothing. My ship was effectively grounded. I had to use one of my other ships. I discharged the "reclaimed" ship to avoid taking up a slot I may need for a new ship later.
• Gear can still be equipped on and removed from ships that you can't "ready".

Further, as mentioned previously, I checked my drydock tab and noticed that slot number one (the top one on the left column) was mysteriously empty. That was just plain weird and bothered me. I believe I only had 6 drydocked ships, and it still registers this fact. Yet having an empty slot in that specific position is anomalous.

Now instead of getting stuck on a shuttle I get stuck in my T6 destroyer and cannot switch, it seems it lets you change once and then that's it- I also tried the discharge workaround and found that it too no longer worked. Nice job breaking it, devs!

Perfect description of my exact problem. Same version number ST.55.20160110c.25.

I can switch to some ships and some ships I cannot. The one I was in before the patch was the lockbox Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer (if that matters).
