Interesting episode

I have to side with @sarcasmdetector on most everything. The t6 Defiant falls into the same pattern as all the other t6 remakes. I don't understand the different expectations. I did buy the 3 pack and I also had some surgery a few hours before and was still technically on anesthesia and some narcotics when I bought it. ( they should really add credit cards to the warning along with automobiles and heavy machinery) I have to say though. I like the ships. That console does some crazy good single target damage to non-shielded targets. The t6 t'varo is clearly the winner of the 3 but the other two aren't bad at all. The boff layout of the defiant is way better than it's t5 version. I agree they should have used the quad cannons in the set but maybe cryptic didn't want to add another set to the t5 and t6 avenger and galaxy-x since they would both benefit from it? who knows.
I like the Kor. It's like the b'rel and the norg had a baby and named it kor because it has the same abilities and consoles as the b'rel and the boff layout of the norg with no downside. I agree though that it might need a few small buffs. Cannons and raiders were awesome for the game a little while back but the game has changed so much that they just don't fit as well as they did. It's funny though that the KDF actually gets a cloaked snooper since the Kor can use APL but since PvP is mostly dead... Then there's the t6 t'varo. It's amazing. It's currently the best t6 rom science ship.

The trait. I love it. The uptime for CSV is amazeballs. On the t6 t'varo with a GW and CSV3 with the trait, things die fast, repeatedly. Also I have to disagree with @darkknightucf (oden) about wanting a trait to lesson the drop off on cannons. I'm tired of workarounds and especially I don't want pay gated workarounds. Basic things like beams, cannons, and torpedos should just work and not need x+y+z+$ + an encyclopedia to work. I'm not saying there shouldn't be anything special to buy or nothing to figure out but cannons and torpedoes need a second look by the devs to fit today's game.

also, language! I hate having to use headphones to listen to your podcast.

You summed up the the attack ship pack with the words "IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!" And you're right, it doesn't! -4 second cooldown? No battlecloak set bonus? Worthless!

No 5th tac console for Kor? Not even at fleet ship? Pathetic!

No pilot maneuvers? I had that expectation, but I was still considering the pack anyway. I pretty much knew it wouldn't happen anyway, but I was hoping that the Valiant pack would have something the pilot ships didn't, something that would make it a worthwhile purchase. There wasn't. I try to not think of what is NOT there, and instead think of what IS. The problem is there isn't much there at all. I too have decided that not enough is done to make me want to get out of the captain's chair of the pilot ship/Alita/Hestia/Qa'tel/etc and get me to fly around with the Valiant. The T5U Defiant and B'rel (I never cared much for a warbird without a beak) is ready for duty should I get nostalgic. I spent the 5000z I had waiting for the pack on something else.
