Romulan-KDF Boots do not have a real black. They use a limited KDF palette instead of (one of) the Romulan ones.
The color closest to black is actually a dark gray. Its very noticeable against black uniforms or when compared to other boots that actually have a black option.
Other issues are
Romulan Civilian Basic and Romulan Republic use the same limited Romulan palette that has a real black but lacks all the colors of the other Rom palettes
Romulan Civilian Work and Tal Shair use the same Romulan palette but the black is not a true black and more or a dark charcoal.
The Rom KDF 1&2 use the limited KDF palette that doesn't match any of the other 2-3 Rom palettes and its black is more gray than black.
Would be great if ALL Romulan pieces just used the same palette.

All uniform pieces should have a full palette, and changing the color of one item, should never automatically change another uniform pieces color. It's very annoying when that happens.

I think the reason this never gets any attention is because on the FED side its isn't as bad since the Feds use a full palette and likely don't notice.
If you are KDF aligned, items will default to the 4 color KDF palette which doesn't match any of the many Romulan palettes.
We should never have to use a Klingon color palette.
