Lost 3 spec points with no need to respec

I lost 3 specialization points.
Prior to the patch, I had spent:
- 13 spec points in Intelligence;
- 1 spec point in Pilot;
- no unused spec point.
Upon logging in after today's patch, all specializations were reset (no passives selected) and I had 11 specialization points free to use again. That's 3 short of the previous amount used.
No respec was asked of me or needed.

It's not THAT much of work I've lost, but still, a loss (moreso now that xp gains have been slashed by 60%). I haven't been taking part in any exploits, whether that was some kind of teaming or lowering your level shenanigans. I was soloing patrols, mostly Argala.

TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
