Cardassian/ Alien Romulan Faction/ Fed Aligned?

I just created one name Damar as my 20th toon. Has a line been crossed that can not be undone? Have I broken all Canon law? Feed back Requested?

I've seen a Darth Riker, as a human (alien) kdf using the crystal sword for a light saber and ophidian cane for force choke. I've also seen a liberated Borg pikachu. Nothing the PCs do has any ability to hurt canon.

I am going to assuming that "Damar" is a common enough Cardassian name like John and Jane for humans. Therefore, I don't think it would break canon. However, it does not seem that Cardassians have last names. Then again considering that there are likely billions of Cardassians (just like there are billions of Humans), I generally doubt each one will have a unique name.

Actually, forget what I have stated above. It seems that Cardassians do have a 1st and last name. Initially I was simply checking out Gul Dukat at Memory Alpha. No 1st and last names are referenced for Dukat, he is merely known as Dukat. I also forgot about Garak who's full name is Elim Garak.

According to Memory Alpha Damar's full name is Glinn Damar. Therefore, if you simply call your toon Damar, then you are not breaking canon.
