What IS Junior Officer Appreciation Week?

Okay, honest question, as I've never attended one of these: what is this event? All the wiki says is that it gives you "50% bonus reward", along with rare DOFFs.

    From what I remember, I think it's likely to be bonus CXP from DOFF assignments.

    Bonus Commendation XP. CXP is what you get for successful duty officer assignments. There's also in the past been a contact at the Academy who gives you a special doff (it's now a one-time claim, so don't lose it).

    Just a few weeks ago I started a thread about Junior Officer Appreciation Weekend 2014. If it's here because they read it, they might consider giving a discount on academy uniforms.
