    You get your bug reported and or fixed yet? As others can indeed swap these at will. So it seems in the testing environment you've encountered a bug and should report that to get it looked at. Be a shame if that bug went live.

    deleting and transfering the toon again on tribble solved the problem with the untickable traits. atleast thats solved still i dont like that i can only have 4. played a bit again and i at least need 5 passive space to have the same hull and shield heal caps as before, even with the new buffs on them

    See, the thing I don't get is that all of this has been done to stop power creep and nerf the number of Vaper builds (among other things).

    But the Rep Powers aren't the real issue behind Vaper builds and power creep. Tremendously powerful ships with uber fleet consoles, unique-power consoles and multiple RSO doffs are the main reason why people can faceroll PvE queues without a second thought.

    The rep passives might be part and parcel of the power creep, but it's not the source. So doing this isn't going to nerf the Vaper builds and power creep, it's merely going to stunt it's growth until the next set of uber-ships or super-consoles come out.

    This is part of what Cryptic are doing.

    There is a bigger overhaul going on, they are doing in stages - they don't want to just up and change everything in 1 go, forcing everyone to relearn the game from scratch. By doing it in stages, we learn new systems one at a time.

    But yes, the main focus is to tackle power creep, for stage 1, rein it in a touch and slow future growth.

    if a bfaw beam boat cruiser can destroy a gate in estf in seconds in pve what do you think it can do to an escort in pvp?

    FBP III + RSP = Dead Cruiser in seconds

    ^^Yep I would know... 60k DPS ships makes me LOL. It's just means they'll die in 2 seconds versus me. Damage isn't everything. Heck even FBP I + RSP killed someone. Really funny stuff.

    FBP? "I'll just stop shooting." Everyone who said that to me still died... I read the Undine rep has some type of FBP passive... I can't wait...
    The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.

    Another critical weakness of high dps cruiser is that they are glass canons due to their spec for high dps, and they die quickly when attacked, unlike cruisers built to tank. Plus, there are many ways to stop them from firing or disrupt the FAW.

    No there is only one group of player that make up 2-5% of the player base the PVP crowd that complain about power creep period! Why you ask they dont want to change any of their cookie cutter build to adapt to new powers or consoles that come out. My uber alpha strike escort cant kill you with one pass because you have a pay to win console on it boo hoo. Dont believe me read the PVP forums its full of tears about P2W console how unbalanced every thing is and so forth and how this is OP and Nerf that. I started this game as a heavy PVP player but got fed up with the elitest attitude and the unwillingness to accept change the community had so F**K EM yes that is how I fell about them now. I really hope Cryptic NEVER fixes PVP EVER! I play this game to have fun and to show others respect not get flamed on zone chat in a PVP match and listen to the horrible profanity and degrading thrown at me because they killed me. And these are the people you are catering to Cryptic these are your star testers the uber gods of game balance you listen to so much. I spent countless hours,EC,dilithium,and all sorts of resources to lvl up 10 characters to T5 in all reps just to only have 4 sace and 4 ground now WHO'S MORONIC IDEA WAS THAT! If this trend continues with all these idiodic decisions I really dont see this game lasting much longer free2play or not.

    I don't understand the fuss over limiting passive rep powers to 4 for space and 4 for ground. In addition to these, you can slot 4 active powers, so that's a total of 12 rep powers. Many of the rep powers are not terribly useful and some of the nicer rep powers are mutually exclusive. This change gives us the option of being able to select mutually exclusive rep powers (e.g. Nukara T4) and buffed all the existing powers.

    See this is the problem right here!!

    Almost ALL power creep comes from PAY-TO-WIN (lockboxes/Doff Packs/Fleet System) and not the rep system.

    So they have decided to nerf the power creep system that players had to actually work for, and keep the system of power creep that you can pay for = epic fail

    I know it sucks to have something you worked for taken away - but have no fear I am sure they will be releasing more OP stuff you can buy to compensate.

    The problem of a F2P model is that they have to keep coming up with new ways to sell stuff to keep the game profitable and running. A lot of MMO's have decided to only sell vanity items and very little power creep - cryptic on the other hand has decided to sell full on power creep.

    Honestly this is much to do about nothing.

    If there is one constant in MMO's that I've always known is this.

    CHANGE IS CONSTANT AND IT'S COMING WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.

    Get used to it people. And remember we as players have ZERO rights to say what changes PWE can and cannot make. It's called the EULA/TOS we electronically signed[which I am sure most bothered not to read. I didn't but after reading 3 lines it's basically the same stuff I've read about 6 times already in other games.]

    Guess what we signed our rights away to say what PWE can and cannot do. and guess what ANY other online game PWE owned or not DOES THE SAME THING.

    This is an industry standard. Get used to it, or don't play online games.

    so there are more like me ^^
    they could make it.. if you play a PvP map you have to chose 4 traits and on PvE it stays... i honestly dont remember a borg cube whining on the forums, only players and also i just can recall players that said they were blown up by other players complaining..

    there was no nerf needed in the Rep, neither in PvE NOT in PvP as in PvP with the 1 second blow up ships it doesnt make a difference. most REP powers are aimed towards PvE anyways. stleast the resistance and hull strength ones when gaining specific damage resistance to types mostly Enemies from PvE use. i cannot understand how a torpedo against Undine will affect PvP, and the powercreep by T5 consoles from fleets doesnt?

    if anything it may lead to that i wont play that much anymore. atleast i wont try as hard to get to T5 Undine Rep asap to get the shiny T5 active power and stuff. as i really cant decide how i should make a reasonable decision. make it 8 passive slots no matter if space or ground.. that would make sense. still less than efore over all. but that way i can if i just play space have an advantage.. against PvE ESTFs. but it wont be more advantage than before. the thing that does the powercreep is the fleet holdings.. strangely all peple who are pvPing that i know. all have T5 fleets and the best fleet gear and then complain about the power creep. and say they dont even use the rep powers.... they use isometric charges, antmatter spread and whatsoever but no single Rep power. so who does the rep revamp hit the most...


    and why do all say 4 space powers are better now???

    currently we have 2 ground and 2 space passives slotted per Rep. at 4 reps making it 8 passive ground and 8 passive space plus the already 4 active traits (T5 powers) that what we currently have each rep gives full 5 powers so having 20 overall slotted right now... atfer the change we have 12... were 4 of those have to be the active ones. so just 8. now its 16 without the active ones.. that HALF of the passives HALF.. how can you even believe that you have more freedom after the change? just because you can chose 2 T2 powers at the same time? but then no T4 power....
