Ok the last few days I have been puggin again.

All I can say is no wonder the ques are dead or full of premades beating on mark farmers. There is no point in puggin anymore... 9 times out of 10 you will be in a match with people that are AFK... or Suiciding... or you will be facing some premade to lame to bother using the games other chat channels to find matches that won't be extremely boring for all involved.

So here it is...

I have created a new Chat Channel
[Tyler Durden]

Join up and use the channel to arrange random fights. We balance teams... balance the players to make the matches as balanced as we can... the point is the fight.

When I'm on I will try to arrange matches 5v5 6v6 3v3 what ever you feel like doing... balance them out the best you can and have fun.

The idea of this channel isn't to arrange premade matches... we have OrganizedPvP for that when people in fact use it that way. In TD we arrange PvP... we fight cause we like it... if we do it right every match will end 15 14 and we will all have a good time.

First rule of your new channel, you do not talk about your new channel.
Second rule of your new channel, you do NOT talk about your new channel.

    Anyways, good luck with it.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

Nope... another pvp channel to organize RANDOM matches.

Think Lethal Lotto ALL the time.

This is where you bring your premades to train.

Bring your 5 mans... play 3 on one side 2 on the other... with 5 more from the channel mixed up... improve.

Use Organized PvP to setup Fleet Vs Fleet... Premade Vs Premade stuff.

Use TD... instead of Cryptics horrible Que system.

Suggested Syntax for asking for matches.

    LF9M 10x10 Cracked X

    Ect....

If you have a 5 man on Mai...

    Bring them to Tyler Durden....

    Post this

    LF5M 10x10 Cracked X

Then when you get 5 people X up join them... ask what people are playing... then YOU mix the teams up to be as even as you can imagine... and fire it up...

You are one of the folks that says you only want to play with your friends when you are in the ques... this is a way to make that happen... and have WAY more fun... then stomping 2-3 pugs in an hour after you kill the ques with the first match. ;) (leave the que system to the mark farmers... let them afk on each other all night)

Once we hit a mass we will have matches going on at a better rate then the ques.

Sound like when someone makes a pugmade in opvp and gets together with another pugmade in pvp to me...

I honestly fail to see how the current opvp couldn't also be used to do this.

Well it isn't how people use Opvp... so we will create a place for people to do this.

This isn't about replacing Organizedpvp... its about people using OrganizedPvP for what it is intended to be.

This is something different... so it gets its own channel... and from the start people will use TD to create PvP matches that are NOT Premade Vs Premade... which I think we all agree is what Opvp is for.

Because the current opvp channel is so full of people talking about builds and damage numbers that people trying to organize a pvp match get lost in the noise. At least that's been my experience.

Lots of people try to form a team in opvp. But then they still hit the queue as a team. Havent seen a private match organized for a long time... However opvp would be the best place as you have the largest pool. I think main problem is that there needs to be way more guys actually initiating a private match.

Most of it is the x up for pugmade to hit the queues in OPvP, as mentioned. However, certain folks will try to organize 10v10's if it appears there are enough folks there for it.

Indeed some of that happens in Opvp now... but not enough.

There is no reason for TD... other then that.

What we want to see happening is multiple people forming up groups.... Yes you can form a pugmade in Opvp now... and hit the ques and fight AFk kids and Mark hunters....

Or you can come to TD... and post.

    LF5M 5v5 Cracked X

and get 5 people out of TD.... mix the teams up to balance the sides... and have a great match.

Leave Opvp for preamde game setups... and general build chat ect... use TD like you would use a STF channel...

Instead of asking for players for ISE or KASE or CSE... you ask for YxY in Cracked ect.

Have people even tried using OPVP for random 5v5s? Usually the only non-pugmade/premade action that I see in OPVP are attempts to get 10v10s going. And some people who enjoy 5v5s don't like 10v10s.

Yes we did some tonight... and honestly its a pain in the backside... to much cross talk.

Frankly its not what Opvp is for....

Its time for us to do the same thing PvE kids do...

No serious pve kid would be caught dead in the public ques.

We will get much better matches if we stop using the ques completely.

This also is a way to solve the, "I only premade cause I want to play with my friends"

Nothing stopping you folks from coming to fight club... and fighting with and against each other.... you won't run into afkers or mark hunters... or pugs so easy to stomp YOU can go afk.

Matches will be as good as the guys and gals sorting the teams before hitting load map.

I don't quite share your confidence that you will get lots of random 5v5s when it currently isn't even possible to reliably create two pugmades to fight each other.

And using a new channel will further restrict the number of players that even hear about this. We've had numerous attempts at starting new PVP channels that are less about socialising and more about organising fights - did any of those prosper?
This also is a way to solve the, "I only premade cause I want to play with my friends"
Have you considered that playing with friends for some people is about playing with friends and not against them? The advantage of playing with friends is that I know that I won't curse my own team at the end of the match; I think that often the more infuriating thing about one-sided PVP matches is the fact that the random guys on my own team are completely useless, not so much that the other side has superior coordination. (Though this has shifted a bit since S7, when the changing metagame widened the gap between full and partial premades considerably.)

No serious pve kid would be caught dead in the public ques.

We will get much better matches if we stop using the ques completely.

A potential downside to this is that, by draining the queues of more people, those stop popping altogether (just now they seemed to be picking up), thereby pretty much preventing new players from getting into pvp.

Sure, it's no fun for new players to get steamrolled by (semi-)premades, but if the public queues stop popping altogether I don't see anyone but the most dedicated 10-20% already in a pvp-fleet starting in pvp. By getting your ship smashed a number of times, you at least get a chance to learn and get in touch with people.

Sure the pve queues keep running, but the pve community (for lack of a better word) is slightly larger. Or maybe more than slightly. I suspect that you could buy all of the regular (public queued) pvpers a beer and still not be afraid to go bankrupt in the process.

Considering attrition from pvpers quiting the game, I'd say there is a possibility that by abandoning the queues, at some point, you'll stop getting any matches...

I mean, I totally get what you're trying to do here, and I hope you'll get some good matches going, but I suggest not giving up on the public queues completely, if only to ensure some future pvp continuity.

    Yes your point is valid...

Honestly I doubt we will be able to completely leave the public ques... but I do hope when we do public que... we are letting the new faces know about the channel.

If we catch them and funnel them in... get them on teams that don't get stomped multiple times by premades... or our pug mades... and or watch 2+ people on there team or the one there fighting go afk farming marks. They will learn much faster and stick around.

We need to get the boot camp kids in here to.... I hope this channel doesn't become the same 20 people annoyed with the state of the pug ques every night... it will have to be our mission to avangelize the channel and get anyone and everyone that wants to PvP in... not every game has to be 10 all star players... we need to make matches and mix it up a couple vets on each side a couple new kids on each side. Create matches fun for everyone... and we will all get better.

Its not that hard to throw PMs to the people in the ques that are obviously playing and want to PvP asking them to come and join in the fun... in both TD and Opvp.

Considered it... and hey your free to hang out in Opvp and try to find a team to play against all you want.

It seems obvious the TSI boys would rather pick on random pugs then mix themselves up and have some fun... thats cool man how ever you want to play the game. :) (I am bugging you here I'm not serious)

Honestly every one I have every played with... enjoys shooting at me now and then... perhaps its just me I must be really annoying. lol

I honestly can't think of anyone I have played with that I don't mind playing against now and then. Playing against people I normaly play with is more fun... and honestly more relaxing.

We ran some random build 5v5s tonight... they all went 15 14 or so give or take a couple kills... and I will say getting blown up by Dontdrunk or ZenithN or Truth when we are playing good quality pvp isn't hard to take.... I died more in one of the matches then I had all night... and I had more fun... go figure.

    Boo.

    Neither.

Organized PvP has its place and shouldn't go anywhere... we are all in there... and no one is leaving. :)

Tyler Durden is a fight club... come and fight... get good matches...

Que up and pull in new players... Que up to get your dailies done... 15 14 matches take awhile.

Saying a PvE Style Match Creation channel for PvP is going to hurt it is just not true.

IF we do a good job getting people in... they will learn a ton in TD... they will still que.

I am in multiple STF channels and guess what I still pug STFs now and then.

I hope you join up naevius... trust me it won't kill the community ... it will make it stronger... much stronger.

Some of you remember the Lethal lottos.... imagine games like that any time you want them almost... you won't stop doing premade vs premade... or even quing up... but it will bring the community together.

I hope to see you in channel man... the more vet players we get championing the channel the better.

New players should be joining both Opvp and TD.

I have been puggin a bit myself lately... ya sometimes the ques are popping and the matches are great... but other times its a hot mess of mark farmers... afkers... role players... and premades that que up but for some reason refuse to fight each other in challange matches. :)

When the ques are at there worst... we can all be setting up matches... no fleets to play for no Super Egos to feed... just good mixed teams and the type of matches we live for.

We ran 3 or 4 matches like this today... and they where all great fun.

Hope to see you join up ivantom... you can help make some of those matches KickA. :)

    time.

If I had made a thread in the past to Q.Q about premades in the queues, I would have been laughed out of the forums.

I'm always looking to fight other teams, but they are not always on.

I never complained when TSI ran their full team in the queues, nor should you. It's part of the game, either find a team to queue with or take your chances.

Either way, it's a good initiative to take to organize people in this channel.

Nevertheless, people should learn to use OrganizedPvP to make teams to fight premades that are in the queues.

Anyhow, you don't know anything about the way our premade operates to make any statements like the ones you made. We make challenges all the time and have queued fights regularly. It's a little hard some of the time because most of the remaining premades are euros, and a lot of our players are guys who can't be on at the times they are on usually.

I'm not going to stop playing with my friends (nor bend them to the will of the lazy), because other people can't be arsed to use OPvP to make a team.

while i love this idea i do have my reservations and see it as others have stated, its such a shame the ingame chat channels dont allow "sub channels" to branch off of the main channels like how ventrillo or teamspeak do.

this would solve so many issues imo...

You guys are more then welcome to join Tyler Durden.

Join and be ready to have your teams split up though... the idea is to have GOOD matches... I don't mind shooting at my friends when its a good fun match. I don't mind my friends blowing me up either.

Did I complain about you guys in the ques earlier... ya I likely did... as you said putting a team together at what is 3-4AM central US time is almost impossible. So I came up with something better.

While you guys where stomping Mark farmers... I had 4 fantastic matches almost 2 hours of non stop pvp... my fingers where sore for a good hour after that. lol

Join TD... trust me you guys will all be better players after a few days of real matches.

Of course you should still team as a premade and get good premade matches going... seriosuly though don't claim you guys are looking for games... I didn't see you guys post any premades on the entire night... but ran into full 5 mans in the ques a couple times. lol

I am not saying people shouldn't play together and have fun playing the game. I am saying adjust your playstyle a bit to help grow this community. Come into TD this weekend guys... have fun with 1-2 of you on one team and 1-2 of you on the other with a mix of other new and vet players... try your best to even up your teams and you will all learn and grow as players... never mind the hours of actual fun you will have.

I have been in your guys shoes... Crtiz ran the ques for a few months solid... and looking back it was a terrible idea... 90% of those guys don't play anymore cause they got so board of the game they couldn't handle it anymore. I wish I had started this then... perhaps Herb Fallout Simon RickeyB and the rest of the Crtiz boys would still be logging in.
