Frigg: Maybe that's why it kept talking about variables. And why does it do It?

OoC: this isn't like how the krenim use formulas to guess the timeline, the planet is accurately creating events that will or could happen. Where the Krenim guess, the planet knows.

    ***

Laura: Well there's a tram station near here we can ride it to the slums where her contact lives. There's a thing that says watch out for muggers on the map and it looks like xoxo. So hey maybe we'll find a new best friend. *nudges Jess with an elbow*

    ***

    Johanna: Not bad?

OoC: What does she have to do to pass?

Mortana: The Infinite Forest is essentially a giant simulator. The planet creates the circumstances of the event and then simulates every possible permutation of it.

    *Augere. Jess follows her.*

OOC: The grade is based on her performance. Strictly speaking, she just has to hold her own against Johanna.

*Mila follows up with a right hook, left shin kick and a right straight kick.*

    Mila: Thanks.

OoC: I was expecting a snarky comment from Jess since Laura was teasing her about how they met*

*They make it to the tram fine but the Tram itself is in disrepair. Its still safe to ride but there's graffiti all over it.*

    ***

Frigg: I wonder why they want to do that. But I suppose there's plenty of uses to knowing the future.

*A voice off in the distance begins speaking*

Voice: Oh there's countless uses. Potentially staving off extinction by following the path of salvation. Or maybe ensuring your domination over all by knowing when to strike. But neither of those are quite what its creators had in mind. *A man wearing strange advanced armor similar in design to the robots appear. His head is masked by a birdlike helmet* You may call me Horus. Its not my name but it helps with my visage for you to better understand me.

    ***

*Johanna blocks the first 2 then takes the last one and hammers Mila with a punch*

Jess: You know, I'm even wearing the same jacket I was when I kicked your butt in that alley. *Smirks.

    Planet.*

Drake: Wasn't Horus the Egyptian God of Royalty?

*OOC: Not entirely accurate, I know - Horus was the God of the Sky - but Drake wouldn't be that familiar with Ancient Egypt.*

*Columbia. Mila takes it and replies with a leg sweep.*

Horus: No. That's Montu. This planet is quite dangerous. Not because of your tests, had you died you would have been brought back out. But because of how it works. Its capable of creating real things. That Iconian following you, M'kar. She's as real as you are. As real as she was. In your present she's dead and yet the planet recreated her. its created her a thousand other times with a thousand other outcomes. Other than the consequences of creating life what problems do you think could arise from such power? Imagine the technology to create an army of nothing. An army of a singular mind a millions of the same voice. Even its creators feared such power. I and others like me have taken it upon ourselves to stop such things from happening. To keep it mostly safe. The planet was originally meant to predict the correct path for the robots to convert all planets in the universe. The robot you met on the surface wasn't a caretaker but one of the remaining creators of it. They sought to convert everything to their mind. Not unlike the borg you know. But where as the borg wished to assimilate life. The Pyx sought to destroy it. Atleast with sentient life, they didn't about plant life.

    ***

Laura: Maybe you can trade stories with the ruffians around here. *teasing smile. They arrive in the slums. The slums are still quite nice and easily look expensive however there is trash everywhere and the buildings are in some disrepair with several having weapons fire scorch marks on them from firefights.*

    ***

*Johanna hops over it trying to kick Mila*

    Tara: What happened to them?

    *Augere.*

Jess: Well, this place looks pleasant...

*Columbia. The kick connects, Mila rolling onto her back and flipping onto her feet. She then puts up a guard and circles Johanna.*

    Mila: That all you got?

Horus: They encountered a race that had something that couldn't be simulated by the planet or other similar machines. They could potentially have found a way to but they were defeated before it could be done. So they abandoned it to find other ways to ensure the future they sought would come to pass. Vaults of glass and pyramidions abound. After they left we found it and were determined to safeguard it. Guardians of the Future one might say.

Laura: Maybe I should have brought a gun.

*Johanna does the same refusing to move first*

Malick walks to the bridge of his frigate no one speaks as it's clear he is angry.

Malick: set course for the void. It's time to see how our experiment is doing there.

    Helm: yes sir.

Mortana: The Infinite Forest is essentially a giant simulator. The planet creates the circumstances of the event and then simulates every possible permutation of it.

Laura: The Matron sent us here. Said you could help us.

Deadeye: Eh. *shrugs* Name's Deadeye. I try to keep the Justids out of trouble around here.

Johanna: Lets go get patched up.

Frigg: Maybe that's why it kept talking about variables. And why does it do It?

OoC: this isn't like how the krenim use formulas to guess the timeline, the planet is accurately creating events that will or could happen. Where the Krenim guess, the planet knows.

    ****

Laura: Maybe I should have brought a gun.

    ***

*Johanna does the same refusing to move first*

    Mortana: Noble.

*Columbia. Mila rushes forward, spearing Johanna down and pounding on her.*

Horus: I ask that you be careful with your knowledge of this planet. After all some of your governments mind find the temptation of its power too strong and I'm not confident we can defend it against a whole galaxy of invaders.

    ***

*they enter an apartment building the shape of a rectangle. The apartments are all on the outside and the center of the rectange is a park. The park is in fairly good condition but its overgrown a bit barely taken care of.*

Laura: We need to find an apartment on the third floor, I think its in one of the corners, Should be easy to find. *there are various rough types hanging around the area, people who probably are in a gang*

    ****

*Johanna kicks her off soon after and bounces up to push her advantage*

    Drake: You have our word.

    *Augere.*

Jess: Okay. Let's watch our step?

*Columbia. Mila rolls out of the way and takes Johanna down from behind, locking a painfully tight body scissors.*

    Mila *straining*: Tap...out...

Horus: If you have any other questions feel free to ask. *A gate back to the surface appears allowing them to return home*

    ***

*Laura nods and leads the way up the floors. Most of the apartments are closed but a few have their doors open as people walk in and out often.*

    ***

    *Johanna does*

    Johanna: Not bad...

Mortana; The drone we met on the surface said that Iconians had already visited this world?

    *Augere.*

Jess: Even Amnesty wasn't this bad...

*Columbia. Mila lets her go and helps her up as the Security Chief marks up a PADD.*

Security Chief: Good work. I'll need to wait for Fleet Personnel to confirm my assessment, but I'd say that was a pass lieutenant.

Horus: Yes. It was quite sometime ago. We even had one of her kind visit too. *gestures at M'Kar*

    ***

    Laura: How so?

    ***

    Johanna: Good to hear that.

Mortana: Where did they come from?

    *Augere.*

Jess: Everything's so...decayed. It's more obvious when the buildings are supposed to look nice. The phaser burns don't help.

*Columbia. Mila nods, rubbing her abdomen where Johanna hit her with a kick. Both also have small cuts and bruises on their faces and bodies.*

Horus: Your kind investigated the planet. a few of them went through the gauntlet of the forest and spoke with me but most dismissed this planet as what they were looking for. Her kin visited from a dyson sphere, curious about the planet and hoping to use it against those they felt betrayed them. they were willing to respect our wishes to keep this planet peaceful.

    Jess: The 'Justids'?

*Columbia. Once they're patched up, the two go to the Crew Lounge for lunch.*

Mila: Gotta admit, I beat you pretty good.

Security Chief: Good work. I'll need to wait for Fleet Personnel to confirm my assessment, but I'd say that was a pass lieutenant.

Horus: Yes. It was quite sometime ago. We even had one of her kind visit too. *gestures at M'Kar*

Her kin visited from a dyson sphere, curious about the planet and hoping to use it against those they felt betrayed them. they were willing to respect our wishes to keep this planet peaceful.

Frigg: I wonder why they want to do that. But I suppose there's plenty of uses to knowing the future.

Laura: Maybe you can trade stories with the ruffians around here. *teasing smile. They arrive in the slums.

    ***

Laura: Yeah. Maybe muggings are the least of our worries. *they arrive at the apartment. The door isn't locked. A vulcan who looks like a liberated borg is speaking with some others who are tuning weapons.*

Deadeye: Hold on. We have guests. *he turns towards Laura and Jess*

Laura: The Matron sent us here. Said you could help us.

Deadeye: Eh. *shrugs* Name's Deadeye. I try to keep the Justids out of trouble around here.

    ***

Johanna: Lets go get patched up.

Mortana: Do you know where they went?

    *Augere.*

    Jess: The 'Justids'?

*Columbia. Once they're patched up, the two go to the Crew Lounge for lunch.*

Mila: Gotta admit, I beat you pretty good.

Deadeye: Its a native term from the leader's home planet. She made the gang when her and the Matron arrived her. Matron wound up getting sent to Shambala eventually but our leader is still here. I tend to keep lookout with my sniper.

    ***

Horus: Not quite. They were searching for a specific planet. But I am unsure what planet they did. It might be possible to find some sort of memory of them from their time here but this place is made more for finding the future not searching the past.

    ***

Johanna: I think you did okay.

    Mortana: I see. Thank you.

*There are more robots on the surface than before but they just walk around seemingly aimlessly.*

*M'Kar follows them but once on the surface she screams in agony then collapses unconcious.*

    Frigg: The Hell?

OoC: I'm going to stick with the time travel can **** with the STO Iconian's heads and the original her is dead so she just got all that information forced into her head at once.

    ***

Deadeye: Yeah he came through her preparing to infiltrate the governor's villa. I told him it was a bad idea even with his telepathic prowess but he went anyway. I'm not sure what happened to him after he left here because I never heard of him reaching there. He's probably still somewhere out there I don't think anyone on this planet is capable of killing him.

Tara: Maybe she's linked to the computer somehow?

    *Augere.*

    Frigg: Maybe?

    ***

Deadeye: Could be the Rhooks took him prisoner. They tend to pick up "valuable" people. I doubt it since he could probably take them out without his mind tricks but maybe they used some stuff to cancel it out. They either sell people or parts of people that are valuable. His cybernetics alone were way above anything I've seen. that arm would be worth a fortune.

    *Columbia.*

Mila: Well, since a rematch probably isn't a smart idea right now, what do you want to do?

Deadeye: They hang around the skyscrapers in the central area. like to take potshots at passerbyers so watch out. They can't hit the broadside of... what was it? a barn? so probably not that threatening.

Laura: Thanks. I guess we got to crack a few skulls.

    ***

Frigg: I can carry her to the shuttle. *picks her up*

    ***

Johanna: Well I want to relax for a while.

Jess: You mean you've got to crack 'em. Half these jerks are probably gonna be too strong for me to deal with.

Zuko is alone in a old styled mountain home taking some time to clear his thoughts. Torch's light the small space as a fire burns as well. He sits on a matt as he meditates as he hears a knock on the door.
Surprised he gets up to open the door.

    Zuko: yes?

Frigga: hello may I come in?

    Zuko: yes who are you?

Frigga: a complicated question. My husband is Trion. On of the few remaining gaurdians that lives in the veil. He rarely is seen outside of that domain now. But I noticed you and thought you could use some company.

Zuko: I appreciate that. I must say your timing is incredible.

Frigga: well I do try my best. You are bothered aren't you?

Thank you.

*The group travel through the gateway and back to the service.

    Augere.*

Jess: Have you seen this man? *Shows Ruben's image.*

    *Columbia.*

Mila: By 'okay', you mean I absolutely creamed you, right? *Smirks teasingly.*

    ***

Johanna: Sounds like someone wants to get creamed themself.

Tara: Maybe she's linked to the computer somehow?

    *Augere.*

Jess: Any idea where we could find him?

    *Columbia. Mila smiles innocently.*

*Scans show her she has minor brain damage. It can be repaired but its likely she won't wake up till its fixed.*

    ***

Johanna: So what do you want to do now?

Mortana: We should take her to the Ziyal.

    *Augere.*

Jess: Where can we find them?

*Planet. The Away Team returns to the Ziyal, taking M'kar to Sickbay.

    Columbia.*

    Mila: Okay, relax how?

Laura: We could go back and get you a gun.

    ***

*I'm assuming it will take a while but eventually they will successfully repair the damage. Probably a few hours*

    ***

Johanna: A spa would be nice. But I'd settle for a movie.

Jess: That would help, but don't we risk getting caught the more we beam in and out?

*Ziyal. As Kenar tries to repair the damage with Mortana's guidance, Tara waits outside with Frigg.*

    Tara: You doing anything?

    *Columbia.*

    Mila: Movie sounds good. *Smiles.*

Thank you.

*The group travel through the gateway and back to the service.

    ***

Johanna: Sounds like someone wants to get creamed themself.

Tara: Maybe she's linked to the computer somehow?

    *Augere.*

Jess: Any idea where we could find him?

Johanna: So what do you want to do now?

Mortana: We should take her to the Ziyal.

    *Augere.*

Jess: Where can we find them?

*Smiles.*

Laura: Yeah but they aren't as protective of this area. Shambala was a noone gets in or out without permission. This area is less restricted. If you don't want to risk it I get the feeling we could find someone to sell us or give us a gun.

    ***

Frigg: Well seeing as I don't really have any friends and people glare at me for existing, no not really.

    ***

    Johanna: Your place or mine?

OoC: Do you remember what species Johanna was? I can't remember if she was just human or not.

Jess: Beaming up is fine if you think it's safe.

    *Tora Ziyal.*

Tara: You wanna spar? Or do something else to unwind?

    *Columbia.*

    Mila: Yours?

*OOC: I checked her first appearance and it doesn't say: just that she's of Russian descent.*

Johanna: Sure. *Johanna is half human half Ylon(pronouced like ilon). Ylons have ridged necks similar to cardassians but smoother, and some develop small horns on their foreheads though its rare. Ylons very rarely venture off their home planet as many years ago they face a crisis similar to the Kobali that was caused by an alien race's intervention. Unlike the Kobali they tackled the issue in a different way. They were able to cure the sterility of the next generation of their people by making them all hermaphroditic. Modern Ylons all look female but have both genders. Ylons live up to 300 years and some of the old ones from before the incident still live. Ylon hybrids are unique. If an Ylon hybrid is born female they are actually hermaphroditic like their mothers but if born Male are simply male. older Ylons are heavily xenophobic in the truest sense as they fear outsiders not hate them. Johanna's facial scar she has that isn't healed(I think it was on her face, I only remember I gave her a scar somewhere) was caused by a member of her species who thought hybrids were abominations and wanted racial purity. Johanna is sensitive about being a hermaphrodite as well as she has been made fun of for it as a child. Her father was a russian man who met her mother on the mining colony she was born on*

OoC: Figured I'd make her more interesting.
