The way I understand it is you get four new skills that you could call "stances" - "sword-stance" and so on. Once you use it you can use sword skills. Kind of like violet dance or tiger/fox transformation unlock specific skills.

Because if you're an owner of a (in particular Bound) CoM, transferring shards and refines might be cheaper than sharding and refining from scratch.

I'd say if you're going to spend that kind of resources, just roll a seeker or a BM and give them that def weapon. I imagine a BM with 200+ def levels and purify proc would be an immovable, unstoppable CC machine. I'm assuming that, since the "set bonus book" is introduced together with g17 armour, one cannot equip ring+belt r9.4 and 5 g17 items and enjoy bonuses from both sets?

I'm wondering if enough time has passed for PWCN players to level, grind, cash, whatever to get these new classes to their endgame state. Quite curious how accurate the predictions in this thread turn out to be.

Nah, one requires one weekend in NW and a trip to catshops with Seals of War. The other *actually* requires months of farming. We're not talking 2-3 months, we're talking 7-9. And that's because ... You can buy Seals of War, you can't buy the Colosseum materials. In my case it's the difference between around 9 months of farming Colosseum (slogging in the 1600+ bracket) and one weekend of NW + around 250mil for SoWs and crafting fee.
