Any mystic that only does that and doesn't outgear their opponent to the point where it doesn't matter what the mystic did anyways is going to die if their opponent has two brain cells to rub together.

In threads like this, we tend to assume an equal gear platform to make the only things that matter class and skill. So yes, a mystic will require some decent skill when put into that context in comparison to several classes.
