What roles is Duskblade in game?

in Duskblade
I have played Duskblade for 3 days. I am confuse a few players plays this class. is it expensive for playing? or is it not helpful for team? Please give me an advice.

    In my experience so far Duskblades can be a powerful 1 v 1 class and excel at being a CC support in mass pvp "especially" vs casters. We also hit hard enough that on similar gear we out damage assassins so we are the main DD's for dungeons and instances. I would say specifically duskblades are the following rules:

    Damage (On par with Seeker Damage with the speed of an assassin for HIGH Damage over time)
    Support (Debuffs, defensive buffing, pve offensive buffing)
    Control (Sleep, stun, paralyze, reel-in, Weapon disable)
    AOE DD (almost all of our main combo skills and non combo skills are aoe's)
