Ion Spike and Gemini Slash

Lvl10 versions only.

I've read that these do the same damage. Having tested this myself, this is true. But I'm trying to figure out how.

Gemini Slash:

deals base Physical damage, plus
450% of weapon damage, plus 4915.0.


Ion Spike:

Deals metal damage equal to basic damage plus 150%
of weapon damage plus 3470.9.

Is this another one of PWI's awesome bugs?


Edit: ****, well I have the sage version of Ion Spike >_>(200% weapon damage + 5100) but I'm still confused as to how they are the same in damage, when the percentage is a lot higher in gemini slash(not taking Soulsever Minuet in account either).

    Obviously a bug, unless there is some secret with the metal mag dmg being added in there that I don't know about o-o.

    differences in metal res and pdef of the opponent could account for this.

    You can't compare a magic and a physical skill. These entirely depend on the enemy's total physical and magical resistances respectively.

    I have sage ion and sage gemini, you can damage test on lvl 1 mob instead (that are not wood or metal).

    I tested them on lvl 5 non-elemental mob out in etherblade and my gemini hits about 13k more than ion.

    Yeah, my error is I have sage ion spike and lvl10 gemini slash. (havent seen Sage SSM ever put up in AH, but many Sage Gemini Slashes), so it ruined my test haha -.-

    I am missing a few sage skills. SSM and Darkcloud Bolt being the hardest to find(gave up on edged blur haha). I got very lucky with sage blade and sword mystery, and this came from that page book(with the other skills that is possible to get).
