There is one other way to get a makeover scroll -- they are available from the PW Boutique agent for 50 tokens of luck.

Great guide! Easy to follow and clear. One question: can .ini edits be used to change body colors for fox venos? I believe it's the model with the long trail that retains a pale skin tone regardless of how the facial color changes. Can the body color be adjusted in the .ini file and if so, how?

Thanks so much for everyone's hard work on this!

Eheheh, oops. Fixed. And I just checked a third time and it wouldn't let me. So perhaps they've since patched that gender lock problem on the EG eyes. Nevertheless 1046 does work for guys.

    Added, thank you.

Yes, body color is found in the body section as opposed to the colors. Just change that value to change the body color independently of the face color.

Pretty in-depth guide, I knew I'd see one pop up right after that announcement. Does have some repeating errors in places but I'm sure that you will fix them soon enough.

Something I thought I might add for the color codes, even though the link you have does have many already, is how you can find almost any color code you would like. Provided that you have or know how to get the hexadecimal code for it, you can also use this site: http://easycalculation.com/hex-converter.php, or any hex to decimal converter.

Just put in your hex value and the resulting decimal value is the one you paste in the .ini file itself.

This is going to make things SO much easier, added to resources and credited, thanks.

I dont quite understand step 3 in the editing time section. How it says copy the before file and rename?

Save your current look as "before" in the character creation menu. Then find this file and hit "Ctrl" and "C" at the same time to copy it. Then hit "Ctrl" and "V" to paste a copy of that file into the folder. From there you just rename that copy to "after" so that's it's easy to find in the character creation menu of the client. For macs the copy/paste function is "Command C" for copy. And "Command V" for paste. You don't have to rename the copy of your before file if you don't want to though. It just makes things easier. The important part is the copy/paste so that you have a saved file of your character before any ini changes.

How do i put the eye shadow from my veno to my mystic/sin? I dont see what option it is on the ini

Those classes cannot wear eye makeup. The eyeshadow is found in eyehightex, seems I left that out before. I'll go add that now, sorry about that.

If it has been 2 days since you created your character, you can still modify your character at the character creation screen. If not, you'll need a makeover scroll.

Makeover Scrolls can be obtained from the following places:

    1. From the level 28 quest Beautiful Chang's Wish
    2. From the DQ points system. for 1000 points.
    3. From 50 tokens from the boutique agent
4..From the boutique, accessed by pressing O in-game

These are ordered from most expensive to least expensive method, although your mileage may vary on which is easier to obtain. I personally wouldn't recommend option 3. Should you choose to charge money it is generally cheaper to simply buy 1000 points worth of DQ items than buy it directly from the boutique.

Open the pigtails ini and copy the following:

    [Hair]
    idHairModel = 942
    idHairTex = 952

Now close it out. Open your Now close it out. Open your After ini file and replace the old hair values with the new ones. Alternatively you can just open both at the same time and type in the new values manually.

What exactly prevents older characters from gaining the opposite gender's hair? Is this fixable in their code to make it as if they are new characters?

Older classes are assigned a gender, new characters are not. Check your pms.

    Hm....the editing for a barb's hair....

I'll look around for any info :>

I played with editing a barb- depending on the hair it looks quite odd. As well, facial hair seems to go inside the snout- you cant see it unless his mouth is open.

I followed the instructions, and just used the character creation screen to experiment. EG hair style 10 on a barb looked like a blot on his forehead, but the human mohawk looks good.

b:laugh and you can see the mustache inside his mouth.

Do the Tideborn tattoo's only work on maybe earthguard?
doesn't seen to work on veno :/ also is there anyways to put male hair on females?

I'm not sure if the TB tattoos will work on other classes (except maybe EG), considering that their preset face textures and the tatoos go together.

No. Pretty sure the options for those are not in the ini file.

I think i'll just make my guide on how to do the popular stuff like the barbie doll face and mohawking the barb. That will make it a little different. And actually be helpful so people dont constantly ask you how to do it.

Yes, I'll be putting it up tomorrow. Hats dont fit barbs the same as everyone else though, so it might get funky with helmets.

Okay, so from other people's responses, I gather that trying to put eyeshadow on a TB/EG won't work. But what if you take the face texture from a TB/EG and put it on an elf or veno? Will it make any existing eyeshadow disappear, or will it stay? Textures for the newer races look so much better than the old ones.

So excited that my cleric can finally have EG eyes. b:cute

This may seem like a stupid question, but when I open my

../Perfect World International/element/userdata/customize (or customize1) folders, there are no .ini files in the various folders. In fact, nothing at all. Just a 'dir' placeholder file.

I saved a preset, and nothing populates the male wizard folder anywhere that I can find.

    What am I missing?
