    Because PWE is specialb:cute

You can still ini edit your characters and get it.

Well, I just tried to edit a cleric to have Earthgaurd eyes, and it told me that I wasn't allowed to save a file in the folder. Is it just me or is it doing this to everyone to disable the point of Ini editing?

That's Windows, not anything from PWE. Windows 7 and later doesn't like users messing around with files in the Program Files (or Program Files (x86)) folder.

I figured out how to do it, after a few tries, you have to drag the save out of the folder, and then like edit from there, and save it. Then you move it back into the ini folder and replace the previous one lol

I'm having a hard time understanding the F-M or M-F hair swap instructions. Is there a more detailed set up?

How do i put the eye shadow from my veno to my mystic/sin? I dont see what option it is on the ini
from VenusArmani's guid: "idEyeHighTex is the eye shadow but it can only be changed on the older races unfortunately."

I was also wondering about the eyeshadow ini edits. I am aware that the eyeshadow ini's can only be edited on the old classes. I do have several old classes that it should work on but would be so nice to have a picture chart with codes (as you did with the hair) to go by. Personally I haven't been able to find anything like it and didn't know if maybe you would know where to get something like that :) Any chance you could add it to your already amazing guide? :)
And THANK YOU SO MUCH for updating and adding the Nightshade class hair ...saved me lots of time :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR GUIDE! <3

Plume has one close to the tailor thats closer to Teleporter. Also I just used the Archo NPC in South West corner of city 2 days ago and it worked fine but don't recall it having an option for gender swap so not sure if u were maybe at wrong NPC.

Hm, I saw someone with a black mask and since there's no such fashion in the game it must be from editing. So does anybody know how to put a black mask on your character? I mean he probably changed the color of his lower part of the face only or something like that but how? It looked so cool and I really want to know.

Hi I'm sure I missed it somewhere in my "extensive search" (no seriously) has anyone figured out how to make the hats fit on barbs? I've tried a couple of things myself but I cannot for the life of me make it work.

Actually, as I have just recently found, you can do M-F and F-M hair swap the same as any other hair ini now. I originally started a new male character with the storm-dusk female two-colored hair, using the ini system in order to originally do so. During the treasure hunt events, I ended up getting a free makeover scroll, so decided for the hell of it to click on the female haired ini's... and it went through without an issue! B)

That mask is male hair fashion that you can equipt. I just don't know the name of the fash set unfortunately...sorry :(
If I recall correctly the mask is actually silvery so the toon in your screen shot has black skin and it makes the mask around his eyes stand out.

i was wondering about the ini edits.

ive been fiddling with it for awhile, and ive got roughly what i wanted.

now ive determined logically that there is infact an extra source, file based most likely that is influencing the character customization

this determines for example what graphical model it uses for say,the skin, the ears, and the default character model.which explains why editing body type and ear shape do different things on different races.

but ive also figured out through my perusings that this system is entirely modular, which is to say the code coordinates are seperate and not just all part of one thing

so logic further dictates that if one were able to find out where this default race/species influencer thing rests, that the codes there could also be edited as well to change a much wider variety of things.tideborn with tails and human ears for instance.venos with earthguard skin and so on,even tideborn with eyeshadow and lip color controls

what i need to find is what stores the race locked settings.

is there a way I can get rid of the winged elf feather ear things? They are annoying.

there is a way but the results might be incredibly chaotic, use this with CAUTION

find the "facetex" line and edit it to say this exactly

Thanks. I am confused though so here are questions.
    A) what do u mean by chaotic
B)Would other people see feather ears or none
also i like your username.. your russian??

chaotic means its ill advised,in the same way opening the service panel on a fusebox is ill advised

chaotic means any number of weird and or odd things might happen to the appearence,i breifly saw it get rid of the feathers on the head when i tested it out on an archer

it might be safer to pick a hairstyle that goes well with the ears rather than risking the codestring

the main reason i want the ears off is because i want to get the bloodmist wings, so having feather ears and black/brown bat wings will look ugly and missplaced. are there any ways to hide the ears then?

well let me see.if you browse the mail hair styles section of this guide, there are actually a good few mail hairstyles that depending on the size of your head will infact hide those white feather projections, try looking at some of the male tideborn hairstyles

ok thanks how can I get those?? also when I try to edit the .ini and save it says:
Want to replace? So I say yes, then it says I am unable to, like not allowed. What can I do?
EDIT: which tideborn hair is it that hides them?

Please, could anyone provide me the codes for this specific hair style?
I have tried many codes, but none worked and I could not discover by myself.
    Thanks in advance.

That's ur Operating System limiting access to files being altered usually in the Program Files folder. Drag the file to ur desktop, save changes and drag back to previous location. That should work. Also just a note, u may want to first try .ini editing on a copy of the file and not the original, just in case the wrong changes were made and u don't like the results.

I don't recall this hair ever being a preset on PWI ... though it may be available on a private server where this ss may have been taken.
Closest hair i see is (fem EG hair #1):
    idHairModel = 1102
    idHairTex = 1087
It is NOT the same but is also wavy.

Yes, it is now possible to switch the hair normally I do believe. There was a restructuring of file folders in one of the later updates of PWI after this guide was initially made and it supposedly enabled this :)

That is the Sapphire Mask head/hair fash from the Sapphire male set. The character in this pic has black skin and hair with the silver/blue mask head fash.
