General Information
This event is PK disabled. You do not lose EXP when you die, and you do not drop items either. If you have Guardian Scrolls on you, you do not lose these upon death. Jungle Ruins is one of the few events where gear does not matter, and where patience is the key. Study mobs and patterns first before speed running.

How to Get In
There is a NPC called Treasure Seeker of the Jungle at 572, 677. On Tuesdays at 8:30PM Server Time, he will allow players to enter. Entry will stop at 9:00PM Server Time. The level requirement to enter is 30.

Maps of the Instance

Objective
Your goal is to make it to the end of the maze without dying.

At the halfway point at Magical Stairways you choose a Jungle Jade which when combined with the starting quest items (Jungle Ring + Jungle Bead) makes a Jungle Relic: Key at the Harbinger of Blessings. Your Ring and Jade determines your final reward.

Also, as you make your way through, you'll encounter various NPCs. While I believe this is optional, you can talk to various NPCs, do their quest and receive Shattered Jungle Crests.

Starting NPCs
Guide of the Ruins
This NPC gives you the "Jungle Ruin Expedition" quest that is required to get your reward at the end. There is a 2 hour time limit, and with passing time, the EXP / Spirit reward decreases. This NPC also allows you to exit the instance.

Relic Keeper - Cutter
Gives the quest "Heaven or Devil". You either choose Jungle Ring: Heaven or Jungle Ring: Devil. You will also receive a Jungle Bead.

Crest Forger
Gives the quest "Leap, Leap". Essentially this turns you into a frog that goes a constant 7.7m/s for 25,000 coins. You can also turn in your Shattered Jungle Crests for Event Gold at this NPC.

NPCs Along the Way
Third Room
Jungle Guardian - Mountain
Right before the gas hallway. His quest is "The First Crest Shard". As it entails, he gives you the first Shattered Jungle Crest.

Miasma Swamp
Jungle Guardian - Flore
The NPC gives the quest "Poison Killer". The quest requires you to go backwards to Rebirth of Nightmare's corridors and dig a herb called Venom Drake Herb. Completion of the quest within 10 minutes will reward you with another Shattered Jungle Crest. If you fail this quest then you can no longer obtain it during that run.

Magical Stairways
Relic Keeper - Polisher
The NPC gives the quest "Choose a Jungle Jade". There are 8 total jades and each one is said influence your reward (or as the NPC says, choose the right one to get your final prize). These are Jungle Jade: Karma, Flame, Ash, Emerald, Feather, Mystery, Pain, and Dew. This item, combined with a Jungle Bead and Jungle Ring, this allows you to create Jungle Relic: Key for a reward at the end.

Crest Forger
Gives the quest "Leap, Leap". Essentially this turns you into a frog that goes a constant 7.7m/s for 25,000 coins. You can also turn in your Shattered Jungle Crests for Event Gold at this NPC.

Jungle Guardian - Glitter
He gives you a quest "Relic Lost and Found," asking you to kill a Bronze Crawler found in Sanction Corridor. They are easy to kill if you manage to reach them. You do have to backtrack fairly far, or start over. Completion rewards you with a Shattered Jungle Crest.

Bronze Crawlers for the quest are immune to physical damage. Using an elemental buff can counter this.

Moonmist Chamber
Jungle Guardian - Flood

Scorching Cloister
Jungle Guardian - Spark
Gives the quest "Retrieve the Chest." This requires you to dig a chest found somewhere in the Scorching Cloister. Completion rewards you with a Shattered Jungle Crest.

Finish Room
Crest Forger - Finish Room
Gives the quest "Leap, Leap". Essentially this turns you into a frog that goes a constant 7.7m/s for 25,000 coins. You can also turn in your Shattered Jungle Crests for Event Gold at this NPC.

Harbinger of Blessings
Lets the first winner exchange the Jungle Jade and Jungle Ring for a reward. Quest and reward are determined by the combination of Jade and Ring. Apparently also gives the Jungle Relic: Key (requires the Bead, Ring, and Jade) which at the Ruin Altar, gives you a belt.

Ruin Altar
Has the quest "Insert the Key". However, only the first person to pass through with the correct items will obtain this quest as it requires a Jungle Relic: Key from Harbinger. This quest allows you to obtain a PDEF or MDEF belt (listed in the Rewards (In Theory) section).

Rewards
Turning in a Shattered Jungle Crest will reward you 1 Event Gold for the Event Boutique.

There are numerous prizes to be won.

1. EXP/Spirit depending on how long it took you to finish.
2. Belt
3. 99 Celestial Insignias
4. 100 Mirages & 100 Socket Stones

Theory suggests that there is a random combination generated each week.
--Correct Jungle Jade, and correct Jungle Ring results in belt.
--Correct Jungle Ring, but incorrect Jungle Jade results in 100 Mirages & 100 Socket Stones.
--Correct Jungle Jade, but incorrect Jungle Ring results in 99 Celestial Insignias.
--Incorrect Jungle Jade, and incorrect Jungle Ring results in only EXP/Spirit reward.

You can obtain a g14 belt that basically allows you to view people's stats without an Eye of Observation. According to PWDatabase, the combination of the Jungle Ring, Jade, and Bead will give you a Jungle Relic: Key which is then used to obtain this belt. Only the first person to win can get this (?).
http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/28294 (PDEF)
http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/28291 (MDEF)

While you can craft the Jungle Key at any time, if you have the right combo, crafting it after the time limit is useless as you wont be able to make the belt, and the Key itself has a time limit. The belt is only obtainable within the first 30 minutes.

The belt can also be upgradeable to g15/16 by collecting Stones of the Jungle, which you can get by decomping Jungle Ruin belts. They can also come from packs.

Survival Skills/Tips
General Tips
*If your in a group watch for people who aggro mobs and stay away from them. They will get you killed.
*When you come to a new room, observe it first before you rush in or you will likely die.
*While it may be good to go fast and get to your destination faster, speeding may result in rubberbanding into an obstacle that will kill you. It doesn't hurt to take it slow around dangerous areas that are littered with fire.
*A huge majority of the obstacles deal physical damage only making some genie skills incredibly useful.
*Because gear does not matter, you can remove it to save your durability.

Useful Genie Skills (These descriptions are level 10.)
*Absolute Domain - Makes yourself and all allies within 5 meters immune to all damage for 4.0 seconds
and immune to immobilization for 2 seconds afterwards.
*Expel - Expels the target from the physical world. This causes the target to be silenced, but it also grants them immunity to physical damage for 9.0 seconds.
*Holy Path - Increases the movement speed of yourself to the max for 6.0 seconds.
*Fortify - Become immune to stuns for 5 seconds. 50% chance to reduce your magic resistances.

Useful Items (Note: Some of these may be hard to obtain for some players.)
*Sutra Power Orb - Makes the player invincible for the next 6 seconds.
Materials: Longen Herb (25) + Tiery Herb (20)
Where: Officer of the Streams/Officer of the Stair (1,000 Streams and Stairway to Heaven Territories)

*Ironguard Powder - Makes player immune to all damage for the next 12 seconds. During this period the player is unable to move.
Materials: Devilwood (25) + Longen Herb (20)
Where: Officer of the Streams (1,000 Streams Territory)

*Shadow Binder Powder - Makes player immune to all movement debuffs and increase player's movement speed by 100% for the next 15 seconds.
Materials: Tiery Herb (25) + White Berry (20)
Where: Officer of the Stair/White Ridge Officer/Shattered Cloud Officer (Stairway to Heaven/The White Ridge/Shattered Cloud Island Territories)

*Vacuity Powder - Makes player immune to all movement debuffs for the next 20 seconds.
Materials: Tiery Herb (25) + Tulip (20)
Where: Apothecaries

Blademaster
Using the leap skills, you can go through fires and not die.

Wizard
You can Distance Shrink through fires and not die.

Archer
If you find yourself running from an enemy and are almost about to lose it, try using Wings of Grace to save yourself.

Cleric
You can heal. While majority of things one shot inside Jungle Ruins, you can still heal vs. some enemies such as Burning Bugs.

Barbarian
Fast constant speed in Tiger form and a higher regeneration ability.

Venomancer
You have fast constant speed. If you're level 79, learn Feral Concentration. Combined with a genie skill (Fortify), an anti stun pot, or Demon Summer Sprint, you can grant yourself 10 seconds of free moving invincibility.

Assassin
Assassins have quite a few skills to abuse in Jungle Ruins. The first key one being Deadened Nerves. It will save you once from an obstacle (provided said obstacle doesn't attack you again after). Focused Mind will grant you a 25% chance (33% if Sage) to take only 1 damage from a hit.

You may (some rooms will rubberband you) be able to warp to other players or certain enemies (that are non lethal) using Shadow Jump. One such room you can use this in is Moonmist Chamber.

Psychic
Utilize Psychic Will which will grant you physical immunity and speed through some hallways or sections. If you are charmed and in the hallway past Magical Stairways, utilize your Empowered Vigor skill if necessary.

Obstacles
Disclaimer: Full explanations about the enemy will be in the first entry of it.

Beginning Rooms and Hallways
*Boulder Walker - These mobs patrol the ruins and will one shot you if aggro'd.
*Fire Breath - If you step into the red circle in the first few rooms it activates. Does damage?
*Fires - These one shot you.
*? Mark Fires - These patrol the ground with a tiny flame, they will aggro you and I believe kill anything it touches, so if someone is near you, it will kill them as well.
*Mud Bug - These bind you. These are typically found near Suicidal Bombers or areas with other mobs around to trap you.
*Suicidal Bomber - Similar to hands in TT. They explode and kill you if you're in their circle. However they seem to have a longer wait period until the next spawns. Typically found in hallways.
*Burning Bug - This bug does an AoE flame attack that is a certain percent (5-10%?) of your health. Taking off some armor and using pots may be advantageous. It will also speed you up to 15m/s, however this can be your enemy while navigating.
*? Mark Gas - In the gas chamber, the hallway will sleep you and cause constant damage which is a certain percent of your HP. It is highly advised to try to have some type of anti stun skill or speed boost to get past this room in one go.

Sanction Corridor
*Giant ball of doom - Sorry I forgot the name. This patrols the Sanction Corridor and will roll back and forth along these corridors. Will one shot you if it touches you.
*Fires - These one shot you.
*Mud Bug - These bind you.
*Burning Bug - This bug does an AoE flame attack. It will also speed you up to 15m/s.
*Suicidal Bomber - Explodes and kills anything in its circle.
*Bronze Crawler - ?

Rebirth of Nightmare
*Boulder Walker - These mobs patrol the ruins and will one shot you if aggro'd.
*Fires - These one shot you.
*Burning Bug - This bug does an AoE flame attack. It will also speed you up to 15m/s.
*Suicidal Bomber - Explodes and kills anything in its circle.

Miasma Swamp (and following hallway)
*Toxic Bug - These patrol the Miasma Swamp in the acid and will one shot you if you aggro them.
*? Mark Acid - Acid in the Miasma Swamp which damages you if you step on it.
*? Mark Gas - Green gas in the hallway past Miasma Swamp. It only stretches two bomber lengths. It damages you.

Magical Stairways (and following hallway)
*? Mark Fires - These patrol the ground with a tiny flame, will one shot you.
*Fires - These one shot you. In this hall they are placed to make you do a zigzag motion.
*Mud Bug - These bind you.
*Burning Bug - This bug does an AoE flame attack. It will also speed you up to 15m/s.
*Suicidal Bomber - Explodes and kills anything in its circle.

Scorching Cloister (and following hallway)
*Flaming Spectre - This mob deals light damage (small percent of your HP) and drains your MP.
*Fires - These one shot you.
*Burning Bug - This bug does an AoE flame attack. It will also speed you up to 15m/s.
*? Mark Fires - These patrol the ground with a tiny flame, will one shot you.
*Suicidal Bomber - Explodes and kills anything in its circle.
*Dual Suicidal Bomber - These explode twice, one after the other.

Moonmist Chamber (and following hallway)
*Glacial Spectre - This mob slows you down (AoE).
*Sealstone: Firefly Lure - Elementally immune. If you hit it, it will summon Firefly Lure mobs that automatically attack you.
*Firefly Lure - Deals 1 damage and are also elemental immune. Apparently if you kill them, the Glacial Spectres lose aggro.
*Freezing Bug - One shots you.
*? Mark Smashing Hands - I assume these one shot you. They smash together after a certain period of time.
*? Mark Smashing Fists - Pretty much the same as the smashing hands.
*Suicidal Bomber - Explodes and kills anything in its circle.
*Dual Suicidal Bomber - These explode twice, one after the other.
*Burning Bug - This bug does an AoE flame attack. It will also speed you up to 15m/s.
*Fires - These one shot you.
*Flaming Spectre - This mob deals light damage and drains your MP. There is 1 right before the Aurora Hall.

Aurora Hall
*Boulder Walker - These mobs patrol the ruins and will one shot you if aggro'd.
*Suicidal Bomber - Explodes and kills anything in its circle.
*Dual Suicidal Bomber - These explode twice, one after the other.
*Mud Bug - These bind you. There is one especially at the very end near bombers.

Walkthrough
Disclaimer: This is a walkthrough for the ruins as they should be before people start aggroing everything and **** up the patterns. The patterns will change as time progresses as people will cause mobs to fly out of line. Always check first before going!

All NSEW directions here are according to the map. Directions such as left and right are if you are looking at your back.

Beginning
Talk to the Guide of the Ruins to pick up your Expedition quest. This will let you get EXP if you finish. Also talk to the Relic Keeper and pick up a ring of your choice. If you wish, talk to the Crest Forger and pay 25,000 coins to turn into a frog for 7.7m/s speed. After speaking with the NPCs, head out and east.

Room 1: There is a lot of open space with only a few fires. Two Boulder Walkers also roam the room but are easily avoidable. There is also a red circle, if you step in it it activates a fire breath which deals damage. Go north east on the map from where you enter the room to get to the next hallway. Left and up if you are looking at your back. After avoiding some fires, you'll come across the second room.

Room 2: Here, there are a bit more obstacles to watch out for. Mainly tiny roaming fires spread across the room. They are fairly easy to avoid, and one easy path is to go to the back of the room and go across once fires are away. There are also two Boulder Walkers which are easy to avoid. Once you get through, you'll be in a hallway through of green Suicidal Bombers. These blow up after a certain amount of time, so wait and go. Also here is a Mud Bug, when it aggros you, it binds everyone in a small radius, make sure you do not get caught in the middle of a hand about to explode. After passing these, you will come across the third room.

Room 3: The next room is straight across, however with fires and Boulder Walkers (about 3-4), it may take a bit of running around or patience. Simply wait for an opening in which the walkers are not near the entrance or exit and proceed. There is also a Burning Bug here, though it should not be too harmful at this stage. It will damage you and others nearby as well as speed you up to 15m/s. There is also a NPC here named Jungle Guardian - Mountain in the north east part of the room. Talk to him to get a Shattered Jungle Crest which you can exchange for 1 Event Gold. When you're done, proceed to the next hallway, but do not go through yet.

Gas Hallway: If you wait for awhile, you will notice a white mist comes up and then dissipates. This sleeps you, binds you, and deals damage as well. Do not dawdle in this hall, speed through as fast as you can. Utilize anti stun skills or pots if possible.

Sanction Corridor
A huge flaming ball will roll back and forth in the hallways to come.

Wait for the ball to leave and proceed. Avoid all fires and try to stay by the wall if possible. When the ball comes back, cling to the wall. Proceed through the hall and then avoid the Suicidal Bombers in the mini hallway. Same procedure for the next two hallways. The Bronze Crawlers should be harmless, they are involved in a quest for a crest shard.

Hallway After: Watch out for Suicidal Bombers and fire, proceed like normal.

Rebirth of Nightmare
Pretty much all Rebirth of Nightmare rooms are square or rectangular. Almost all have fires all around the room and Boulder Walkers roaming.

Room 1: There are two paths you can go, east to Sanction Corridor or south to continue through Rebirth of Nightmare. Two Boulder Walkers patrol in this first room, one clockwise, the other counterclockwise. Once both pass by the entrance going opposite ways, go right and go through the south door. A single Suicidal Bomber is here and once it explodes, wait by the next door.

Room 2: A rectangle room with the same stuff from the first. Two Boulder Walkers walking opposite paths and fires. The next room is directly south. The issue is that there is a small time gap for you to get to the door and before the next enemy comes. I typically follow the walker that goes to the left. There is a Venom Drake Herb here used in a quest found in Miasma Swamp.

Room 3: A tiny mini hallway separates the two rooms. Once again, same pattern, two Boulder Walkers and more fire. Wait for one to pass and if the other has not come yet, quickly run to the right and go to the next room.

Room 4: This one mixes it up slightly. There are two Suicidal Bombers on each side in the middle as well as two Boulder Walkers and three Burning Bugs. The Burning Bugs go clockwise where as the walkers walk counter clockwise. The next room is on the south west side. Wait for the walkers and then follow them slowly. You may aggro a Burning Bug, but you should be able to lose it if you go to the next room.

Room 5: Two Boulder Walkers go clockwise following one another. Another goes counterclockwise. The room you need to go to is on your left (east on map). The walkers should pass by each other around the same time, so after the one going counterclockwise passes by, follow the ones going clockwise. Also in this room is a Venom Drake Herb in a corner by the exit used in a quest found in Miasma Swamp.

Hallway After: The small hallway immediately after contains two Suicidal Bombers and a lone Mud Bug.

Miasma Swamp
Room: The Miasma Swamp is a single room and not incredibly deadly. There is a NPC named Jungle Guardian - Flore. Her quest will send you backwards to Rebirth of Nightmare to dig a Venom Drake Herb. You have 10 minutes to obtain the herb and turn it in for a Shattered Jungle Crest.

Upon entering the room, you will notice acid and platforms repeating in a pattern. With the acid are Toxic Bugs that patrol. The acid deals damage to you while the bugs will kill you. The first few sets of enemies are easy to avoid. For the first set, wait until both have left the side near the door and run over to the next non acid platform. Next, go behind the circle-ish green, glowing monument in the south part of the map and emerge on the other side, bringing you to the last set of mobs.

This last set of mobs are pretty tricky depending on how many people have died and caused the enemies to change. You need to make it across to the next area (the door's platform is safe). Watch and wait for an opening and then run across.

Hallway After: The hallway immediately after contains two Suicidal Bombers and damaging gas. Just wait for the bombers and then run across to the corner. Following that are more bombers, some fire and a Mud Bug. Trek across and then head right (east on map). Don't stand by the next room's door, stay a bit back.

Magical Stairways
Room: As you look at the room, there are tiny roaming fires from the early rooms of Jungle Ruins. Wait for the one near the door to go out of the main path and run to the middle with the NPC.

Congrats, you have reached the halfway point. Talk to the Relic Keeper and choose a Jungle Jade, which is utilized in rewards. Don't bother with talking to the Crest Forger here, and if you wish talk to Jungle Guardian - Glitter to get a quest for a Shattered Jungle Crest. The quest will make you go to Sanction Corridor to kill an enemy. When you are done here and ready, dodge the fire and proceed to the next hallway to the north.

Hallway After: This hallway is one I find one of the worst parts of Jungle Ruins. It is filled with fires, Suicidal Bombers, Burning Bugs, and Mud Bugs. The fires are placed in a pattern to make you move zig-zag. My advice for this room is to go through as quickly as possible, don't stop moving through. You'll start to aggro Burning Bugs and they'll aid you in speed, but you'll eventually start to stack them and take lots of damage.

Once you get through, go left or right past Suicidal Bombers, some Mud Bugs, and Glacial Spectres (if you go right) to lose the Burning Bugs. Going left at the T will lead you to Scorching Cloister, right to Moonmist Chamber.

Moonmist Chamber
Glacial Spectres slow you down and Freezing Bugs will kill you. The smashing hands and fists will kill you.

Room 1 (initial room): There is a Sealstone: Firefly Lure enemy off on the right. You can pretty much ignore this as it really isn't all that helpful. Also in the room are Glacial Spectres and Freezing Bugs. Immediately in the first room are two that patrol in a pattern. However these are not your only concern. There are two more right after them at the intersection. There are a few opportune moments to go and my only advice is to watch carefully and speed through at the right times. Utilize whatever speed skills possible because the spectres will continue to slow you down.

Going left at the intersection will eventually lead you to Jungle Guardian - Flood, who gives a quest for a Shattered Jungle Crest. However his path is a dead end.

Long Hallway (Segment 1): Going right will let you continue through the ruins. About two more Freezing Bugs will be on the path after you turn right. Hug the wall if possible and then, upon reaching the first set of smashing hands in the long hallway, stand by the wall next to the smashing hand.

Take some time and observe your next path. There is one Freezing Bug that walks the entire long hallway and will come back after some time. You can generally discount this enemy when going through.

Long Hallway (Segment 2): There is a lone enemy here that walks in a sort of square pattern. There is a safe spot in this segment, however it is simpler to just go to the third, tiny segment as only the wandering enemy travels there. When the main path is clear, and your back is clear (remember you're still standing in the first segment), go around the hand, dodge the Freezing Bug and go past a set of smashing fists and then stand next to the wall by the right hand of the third tiny segment.

If you wish to stand at segment 2's safe spot, it is located here.

Long Hallway (Segment 3): Only the traveling Freezing Bug will come through the segment you're in. The next area is between a smashing fist and smashing hand. Only one bug walks here, though the traveling bug will come by after some time. When the set of hands next to you smash, go to the next safe spot right next to the wall by the right smashing fist of segment 4.

Long Hallway (Segment 4-5): The next segment is the one with the huge statue. Two bugs are here, three when the traveler comes back. The one by the statue goes around in a square fashion while the one by the exit does the same but in his small hallway. Wait for the traveling bug to go away if there as well as the smashing fists to collide. Watch your back for segment 4's bug then go. Dodge the initial bug, and go to the exit.

Hallway After: There are still Glacial Spectres here. Also here are Suicidal Bombers, fires and a Burning Bug. The first three Suicidal Bombers are single explosion. DO NOT use the after explosion slow animation to judge respawn time. That animation is almost there permanently, and the next one will spawn while that animation is still there.

After passing by those three bombers, there will be another hallway full of them as well as a Burning Bug. The bombers in this hallway explode twice, one right after the other. Wait for them to explode fully, and go to the small safe gaps as outlined by the bomber's circle. Make your way through and then turn right (north on map). A single Flaming Spectre will probably aggro you. It does light damage and drains your MP. Don't enter the next room yet.

Aurora Hall
The last room. This room is a easier compared to other parts of the ruins. There are single explosion Suicidal Bombers, dual explosion Suicidal Bombers, and about six Boulder Walkers (about 3 clockwise, 3 counterclockwise).

Wait for the single explosion bomber in front of the entrance to explode and if clear of walkers, run through, up the slope of the middle platform (or jump if you can) and stand on the middle platform.

The last stretch is protected by two dual explosion bombers and a Mud Bug. Wait for the walkers to go away, the explosions to go off and make your way. Beware of the Mud Bug, I saw someone get caught by it and die to the bomber right before the finish room.

Finish Room
The moment you enter, it will automatically complete your Expedition quest and reward you with EXP/Spirit. If you are first, it will announce it in red server text. Talk to the Harbinger of Blessings for your reward.

No matter what place you are in, the normal text will always say the following:
Congratulations! [Name] has conquered all the challenges and reached the end of the Jungle Ruins. [Name] has won the Top Prize! After the reward has been given, [Name] will be teleported back to the entrance in 3 minutes. If you want to do anything, please do it fast.

I finished Jungle Ruins this week.
Talked to 1st NPC, talked to magical stairways NPC, and last Final NPC (plus some jungle crests on the way).

However when i finished it, i didnt get any of the rewards like mirages nor socket stones.

I finished Jungle Ruins this week.
Talked to 1st NPC, talked to magical stairways NPC, and last Final NPC (plus some jungle crests on the way).

However when i finished it, i didnt get any of the rewards like mirages nor socket stones.
Only the Boutique gold for the crests and exp?
    What happened here?
(was 4th to finish i think, took about 23 minutes)

I am unsure of the specifics of rewards. The Magical Stairways NPC says the Jade determines your reward. According to PWDatabase, combinations of the Jade and other Jungle items gives the Mirages/Sockets Stones.

The winner last week also stated he had gotten 100 Mirages/Socket Stones, but he didn't say what Jade he had.

Something to add to your guide..
In aurora hall there are 4 Boulder Walkers who walk around the room clockwise and there are double suicide bombers all over the place. You simply need to run to the center then run to the door to finish it.

Also in the second last place there are tombstone guys called flyswatters, if you attack them 4 mobs attack you dealing 1 dmg each. From what I saw is if you kill the 4 mobs all the glacial specters un-aggro you.(not positive but they did for me)

also for sins and shadow teleport, some rooms it works and some rooms they have disabled it, close to the end there are some places where it could be useful but it does not work you teleport but don't move at all.

I just finished with like 15 minutes left... lol. No mirages/sockets, only EXP. I'll post the last part of my run vid and then next week I guess I'll try the other paths or try to finish faster.

I finished in what it said was 5th place but I got this message:

    7yyYD.png

Does everyone get that? When I talked the npc in there I got 100 mirage and 100 socket stones...
I only picked up 3 of the 5 crests along the way though. I'm not sure if they are required to get the top prize...

I'm thinking you need to be first *and* have the right bead combination? (I had karma + heaven)

Reading your post and Maiya's i have a theory \o/
The 3 of us got 1-2 crests and got no mirages/sockets.

Asterelle got 3 crests and got mirages + sockets.
So my guess would be that you need 3 jungle crests to get that extra reward?
    Seems pretty obvious, no?

/Edit that would maybe enable the Celestial Insignias reward and Belt rewards?
As 99 insignias for 4 crests and 1 belt mat for 5 crests?

It's something worth testing at least. Except I usually don't turn back at all for quests. The 1st person to win on LC last night said he got the belt, but he didn't state any extra info.

As for a question I'm curious about... how does one calculate their placement? I got an Expedition 5, so I assumed it meant I was 5th. However, the person who placed 1st got an Expedition 3.

Did you see the first place person's belt? I find it hard to believe Duke wouldn't shout when someone gets the belt.

The person who finished first on Sanctuary finished in around 1hr, 4/5 crests, Expedition 4, had devil + flame I think, only got XP as a reward.

    Compare that to me, I finished about 20 mins later, expedition 5th, 3/5 crests, heaven+karma, 100 socket+mirage.

I finished slower and with fewer crests yet had a better reward.

I have no clue honestly. The person said he got the belt, however there are tons of rumors flying around of hacking and etc. I have yet to see the belt being worn either.

Walkthrough finished (for the path I took at least).

i wrote a tiny guide for my faction aswell, finished first and third so far. dont think there should be more than 1 thread for this so im posting mine in here if u dont mind. hidden on page 3 ^^
The Jungle Ruins Guide, By Mara

    General Information:
Jungle Ruins Take place every Tuesday 20:30, right after DT.
U can enter for instance from an Npc in north east Archosaur.
Once u entered u have 2 Hours to reach the final room and get ur reward.
Inside JR there are 5 Quests u can do for shattered Jungle Crests. So far i dont know what the reward is if u gather all 5.
The Quest number 4 was impossible to do for me so far. couldnt even reach the npc.

    The Rewards
For Finishing all 5 Quests u get the Basic Belt:
    http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/28294
after several upgrades(im guessing u need to run alot of jungles for that) u can get this: http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/28296 a real nice belt
Then additionally u get exp reward. when i finished last time i got 670k exp.
Week after that i finished in 25minutes and got 800k exp
seems it depends on ur time too. And the third reward is very mysterious.
At the npc in room 1 u can choose between heaven and hell ring. In the Half way in Room 8 u choose again between 8 Different Jades.
Those result in 16 different Combinations and 16 possibly different rewards. hellring + ash Jade rewards 100 sockets 100 Mirages.
Hellring + Emerald Jade rewards 100 sockets 100 Mirages.

How the Hell to get through?
    bf79737510p
    http://img819.imageshack.us/i/jungleroute.png/
    1. The Beginning
Make Sure u choose Heaven or Hell Ring before u start. u can choose to become a frog for 25k that has 9,9 Speed, but then u cant use skills. As veno with summersprint and Feral Concentration i decided to not transform, however if ur slow cleric or something it might be worth considering.

    2. An easy Start
2 Boulders Roaming in a Circle around the Room. Lots of people there usually, just use them as Meatshield and rush through, watch out for the Flames.

    3. Roaming Fires and Boulders
6 Flames Running in Straight Lines from wall to wall. Additionally Boulderwalkers that circle around the room. Just rush in, when u get a mob on ur *** use holypath, if u reach the next hallway aggro will reset. If u dont have holypath hug the walls and wait for a gap

    4. Roaming Boulders, First Quest
3 Boulders Roaming in Circles in the Room, dodge the fires, walk straight left or straight right side. Afterwards comes a hallway with Fog. if u wanna go safe wait until the fog turns off and run through, then wait again. if u got Balls Holypath through.

    5. Ninja Time
Make sure u have ur Minimap on minimum Area so u can see the mobs roaming.
Just wait for a Gap everytime, stay calm and take ur chances.

    6. Hallways of Death
Flaming Ball Running from side to Side. when it comes Hug the Wall. Beetles will paralyze and make u unable to move away. just ignore them if the ball is far away. if the ball is closer they can get dangerous. The Mobs in hallway 2 and 3 Wont hurt ya, so just ignore them, theyre for a Quest.

    7. Toxic Room
Kinda like Frogger. move to the Center of a Line where Toxic bugs return. then holypath through. The 2cond line u can just climb at the north plattform with the NPC. The Third Line here is Reall hard cuz of 5 Beetles, Either Gamble Holypath Through when u see a chance or use a Vacuity/any other immunity apo/skill.

    8. Magical Stairways, 2/3 done
4 Sides with flames roaming, their pattern is small and simple. the Questnpc is East Side, u enter from West and Leave north. Here u can choose one of 8 Jades that will decide which reward u can get.

    9. Speedy Hall
    Burning Bugs+CactoCircles of Death+Flames.
Can be tricky if ur in a hurry. Burning Bugs damage you and bring you to Max Speed. This can result deadly cuz u gotta walk in zig-zag pattern to dodge the flames. Make sure u have Pots or Event Food to Counterheal

    10. Choose ur Death
hallway full of Spectres of Frost and Spectres of Fire.
Fires do low dmg ~150 on me while Frosts slow you badly.
Which way u Take here is up to you. if u wanna try finish all 5 Quests u gotta enter both areas. My Suggestion is: if u have a Genie that can Holypath Twice or u have any other Speedbuffs take the ice Area. else go fire

    11. Ice Area
Frost Spectres Everywhere, Undodgeable, They will slow you to the Bugs roaming There can 1hit you. Make sure to holypath once a mob gets close. rush fast. else ur gonna die.

    12. Fire Area
labyrinth with Burning Bugs, Circles of Death and Flames that 1hit ya. The Screenshot shows pretty good whats going on. Make sure ur Spamming Pots/Food, Something there Manaburns too so dont rely too much on ur healing as Cleric. If u dont Get Lost inside there its not that hard. Mobs that kill ya are rare and it only gets tricky when the hallways are gettin slim. Spam Hp Food.

    13. Almost Done
Aurora Hall. Safety on the Plattform in the Middle, Ur biggest enemy here is urself because u know if u die now ur gonna ragequit. Boulderwalkers Roaming in a Circle. Circles of Death all around. But its totally easy. Wait and watch the Routes of Mobs. the Gaps are Real big and if u stay Focused u cant die here.

    14. Finish
Harbinger awaits you. Ur gettin rewarded with EXP, A Belt if u finished below 30minutes and depending on ur Ring and Jade u get one of 16 Different Rewards.

    The Quests
    http://img682.imageshack.us/i/junglequest.png/
    1. Simply Talk to the Npc and get 1 shattered Jungle Crest

    2. 10 Minutes Time Limit to go Back, Dig a Herb and Return to the Npc.

    3. Watch out for the Flame when u talk to the NPC, the return to the halls of death and kill one mob in the Hallway

    4. The npc is inside there guarded by lots of mobs, u are slowed and the hallway is small, no idea how to pass that ****

    5. Npc north East Corner, Gotta dig a Chest that is 15meters way.

    Screenshots:

    right before Magical Stairways

    Entrance of Frost Area

Inside Fire Area, stole this one from pwiforums

All the Burning Bugs / Flaming Spectres / Noxious Smoke in there does damage as a percentage of your maximum HP. There is no benefit at all to having high HP so it is best to remove your armor to get your HP as low as possible.

This makes pots much more effective and also reduces charm burn if charmed.

Meh this is starting to bother me, i finished for the 4th time right now and its the 4th time the Harbinger of ... doesn't have any quests for me.

Am i stupid or why?Given PW database and my speed i should have been able to even got the belt, since i had all necessary items, but simply cant craft it cos NPC doesnt let me combine them?
4 times finished, 4 times no mirages either >_<

It seems the game picks a random combination for giving the Jungle Key as a reward for, got it today when I placed first and kinda uh was stupid and didn't read up where to turn it in, has 3 minute timer on it too so I lost my chance for the belt lmao, fail on me, still have to finish within 30 minutes to have a chance at it.
