Playing Veno without cashshop pet

I want to play this and i only like pet classes, can the class be played without the cashshop pet to end game?
Can the game be soloed to an extent if i can't find help for some of the content?
Are Mystic pets good tanks?

    Mystic tank would be the craglord. Best cheap tank for the veno would be the Glacial Walker. Next best thing to a herc and will DD more than a herc​​

    Not really. Said cragglord lives only 20 sec, has 1 min cd and costs 2 chi. Besides mystic is a good tank on his own, because of his defensive skills, heals etc. What doesn't 1shot you, doesn't kill you at all monkey-47.gif
    As a venomancer you can live pretty well without cash shop pets, if you are not ambitious. They can make your life easier ofc, but they are not compulsory in any dungeon you do with a squad. The only disadvantage is the quests and bosses which you could solo with a legendary pet, but without it you have to look for help.    ​​
