Linked items are colored and make messages look organized and easier to read. I think most players prefer seeing colored items over seeing a bunch of grey text. That probably is why most players link items in their trade messages because that can increase their success in tradings. Using raw item's id catalogue number to…
We have healers, and healers are responsible for helping us get back to health that we would lose. So we aren't supposed to be responsible for healing ourselves.
Well, to be honest, I was questioning the existence of the said stat, not telling every class to stack abilities of its role. A class is supposed to stack abilities of its role and does not need others to tell it to do so.
Usually, a balanced group consists of classes of different roles. Some classes heal and inspire allies; some classes tank and hold aggro; some classes control enemies, etc. And those players cooperate with and depend on each other to achieve their common goal. But if players have access to powerful self-healing, they would…
Since a certain amount of players have accommodated themselves to the stat, I will not continue to question it. Personally, I just hope it will not weaken any class' role in a balanced group.
Oh, yes. He did tank some giants and bosses. Sorry. I was too concentrated on the performance of Life Steal. As for the two DCs, I didn't see any Healing Word or Astral Shield. Maybe I missed something?
Another noticeable issue Life Steal is causing is unbalanced group. As long as yourself have enough Life Steal, you don't need to worry too much about survivability and can simply focus on doing more damage. The more damage you do, the more heals you get. Classes which are typically supposed to be squishy, such as CW, HR,…
Well... speaking of "steal", do you guys regard the effect of Feytouched as stealing? The tooltip doesn't mention "steal" and only says "siphon away". And the effect is just a temporarily effect that lasts for 10 or 20 seconds. After the effect expires, the damage returns to its owner. So I think it's not like the…
Another thing I would like to feedback is that the droppings of companions who are supposed to be scarce, for example, Lillend and Alchemy Experimenter, have been decreasing those companions' values.
Thanks. I had prepared enough shards of Feytouched in my bank, and would definitely make one when I'm ready. By the way, I also heard that Feytouched has a draw back that you won't get the buff if someone else already used Feytouched on the same mob. So after more players go for Feytouched, that draw back would become more…
My memory might be a bit dated, but which of our damage sources are significant and can't crit? I can only recall the pillar of lightning created by Storm Pillar doesn't crit. Maybe you're referring to a certain damage sources in Thaumaturge tree? I can't speak for Thaumaturge now because I chose Oppressor, and I only…
@rjc9000 @metalicum1 @pitshade Thank you for all your explanations and inputs on Lightning Enchantment. This enchantment, as it currently is, really is having no opponent in AOE damage, as we all are seeing. Since the multi-proc is going to be fixed in Mod 13, we can foresee that the enchantment's contribution in CW's dps…
So to make a start on solving the situation of "CW really need more damage", some polishes/changes might be needed in the content of "todays game". A solution could be implementing Difficulty Check (DC) to change how mobs get controlled, as a fellow member suggested above. Or separating control-focused and DPS-focused…
Thank you! I really like this idea. It would make control works more like how it does in D&D. So once a mob is controlled, it gets a chance to reroll its saving throw every 6 seconds or so, and a successful saving throw ends the control effect. The idea could solve the situation and also preserves tank's role in the game.
I started doing Storm King's Thunder campaign since 12 December 2017, if I remember correctly. And I have only progressed half-way in the campaign. In these two days, I have been farming Voninblood for my fourth boon because these boons require lots of Voninblood. But after I farmed enough Voninblood today and tried to get…
It's been a long time since my last run of PvP. But iirc, isn't "damage resistance" being ineffective in there and gaining as much Tenacity as you could the priority?
There is a cogwheel button at the bottom-right corner of the inventory UI. It provides options for you to identify all unidentified gears and convert them all into RP.
Yesterday, I ran a random dungeon with another high level class and a low level GWF. The dungeon was Cragmire Crypts. I was aware that low level GWF tried to contribute in killing mobs. He even used Mighty Leap to try to reach mobs faster. So I dealt less damage in order to leave more mobs to him. But another high level…
According to my own experiences, the more damage you contribute, the higher chance you get Great Success. And in my opinion, the mechanism can be changed in a certain HEs to encourage more balanced participants rather than just encouraging DPS.
I see. But when we mouse over unidentified green/blue gears, we can still preview their types. Thus I see no problem letting them show up directly on the ground, too.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will grab them if my mouse cursor can reach them or when I'm waiting for the next wave of mobs in a Heroic Encounter. But when I'm in a hurry of finishing daily quests of old campaigns, I really want to finish them asap and don't want to use extra time to go to pick up green gears. Therefore…
