To me, it's not so much about min/maxing, it's about power A simply not being as good, overall, as power B. I have no doubt that an experienced player can get through all the PvE content with nearly any power combination, it's just that some powers are objectively better than others, so the underperformers should be…
What they should do is this: The first time you get to a point in a dungeon where a cutscene would play, you instead get a popup that says "Cutscene unlocked!". You can then go to the event contact and interact with them to watch that cutscene.
I'm not expecting there to be "true balance", but at least a concerted effort to make the majority of powers for any given class attractive to use - not just the 3 or so powers that are "must-have's".
I'm not talking about historically, where alchemy kind of became chemistry. I'm talking about in-game, where you create potions that do stuff. What would be the functional difference, mechanics-wise, between what an herbalist makes and what a alchemist makes? You want enough distinction between what each profession does,…
Even if they allowed you to make enchantments or runes, they'd like cap out at R5, and even then, it'd be a very poor return on time invested. Also, you can already gets enchantments & runes from various Leadership task chests. Herbalist basically equals alchemy. Weaponsmiths can already make bows, and arrows aren't really…
Yeah - the biggest boon for me is that I no longer need to forego a particular aesthetic in favor of actual in-game speed/performance; I can pick the mount I think looks best, or is the best fit for a character's theme.
Truth be told, the Polar Bear would have made the list as well, but it runs with this really weird limp, which both takes away from the aesthetic and makes the mount feel slower than it actually is.
From my understanding, it's because Steam is a 3rd party - PWE has no way of directly verifying purchases or funding like they do for their own system, and if something does happen, they are basically screwed out of the money - hence why they take steps to minimize their loss until the transaction/account/funds are…
Other than the occasional healing potion, (red ones), I don't really find that I need any of the buff potions for PvE. Something like Tymora's Lucky Coin or the Adorable Pocket Pet items are much better, IMO, as they never get used up...
So just as an update, after I got home and checked out the pieces on my main computer, I was able to see that the mask has some feathery details on its upper edge, and the cape has a sort of fur mantle/collar, (though it gets clipped over by most chest armor pieces that have a big collar themselves).
I got a 15% off coupon and picked this up. two30 is correct in what the companion's active ability is. The headwear is a fairly simple "zorro mask", and the neck piece is a very basic black/dark grey cape. What stood out are the weapons - the main-hand is a long, thin, curved sword, and the off-hand is a wider, almost…
"Need to buy a new mount" in what sense? If you're talking about the bug where some people are reporting their mount having disappeared, then submit a support ticket to get that looked at...
What is this obsession people have with putting -gate on the end of things? The origin of it all, "Watergate", was not something about "water" to which they appended -gate to the end - "Watergate" was the whole name... And anyway, "coalgate" just makes me think of toothpaste.
I believe those either came from a boss or as a quest reward, for level 58 content, (likely in the Northdark). I noticed it said it was dyed with "Dungeon Dye Pack" instead of "Questing Dye Pack", so perhaps it came from one of the 3-man dungeons.
I think that the Icewind Dale fashion sets were a good start, with regard to being able to access some fairly casual-looking stuff. I'd like to see some simple pieces/sets added to the regular crafting professions, (heck, you could just pull pieces from the various humanoid NPCs we encounter throughout the game). I'd also…
I think the solution is to reduce the number of different bind types and improve the stack limits. So, for instance, get rid of bind-to-character for all refining stones, and only have unbound or bound-to-account. Next, eliminate the different types of artifacts and their respective refining stones - we have a single…
