June 8th - at what state is this game right at this moment?







Yes, I am interested in getting into the beta :p

    They have stated Beta is not on the table right now and they will announce when it is ready.

    Emmert said beta is unlikely this year.

    So I guess CBeta ~April and OBeta June/July next year. Release prolly End 2012 or 1Q 2013.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not in a rush for "the" next big mmoRPG - I just want some facts :)

    Good things need time, and I hope cryptic takes itself a lot of.

    Current State is: The game is under development. We have not yet entered into the closed beta testing phase. I'll make sure you guys all know as soon as we do though. Also, make sure to sign up for the newsletter so you don't miss any important announcements (Like a beta announce...).

    I think that all who already post in forum at this moment want to go in Beta and help you to improve the game

    At the end of the latest video from E3 it said late 2011. Personally, I would expect Q2, 2012 is a probable timeline.

    no they have said it could very well be this year, although i would not be surprised if it falls early next just to be safe.

    cryptic dont usually have long lead times and the game has been under development for some time already.

    Well, they said in one interview that they got caught in a trap of repeating the same patterns in the games, that's why the development went so fast, and that they want to do it differently in NW, so I guess next year is more probable. They just opened the forums..

    The always said 2011 but they just opened the site and until now they have not announced any type of schedule. So I'm skeptic about a 2011 release. Early 2012 is possible.

    On the other hand they need only 2 years to develop a game (ready to launch not necessarily high quality) so end 2011 sounds realistic again.

    Actually I hope first half 2011 because of quality.

    well they said they got caught by trying to make something for everybody and not making any of it that great, instead of making something for a small group of people but making it top notch.

    nothing was suggested that the budget or lead time would be different, so i still expect 2011 or early 2012.

    They said they used the same method to create the game and could make a game in one years or less, and now they use other method that takes more time from what I remember.
