Maybe I'm the only person who has a beef with this, but why is it that the, supposedly, random intermediate queue, 99% of the time, is Many Coins, and occasionally merchant prince. Once in a blue moon Throne or Prophecy will pop up, but very rarely. Heck recently I played 10 random queues and got many coins 10 times, back to back. Leveling queue is just as bad. Almost always either Dread Legion or Hunt, which, I honestly don't mind, because I can take up the scripts from Legion. Don't want to be complaining, but something is way off with this rng. Variety PLEASE.

The way Random Queue system (allegedly) works, is that an appropriate queue will fire when sufficient eligible players are present.
Dungeons require 3 dps, 1 healer, and 1 tank. Skirmishes, (such as Manycoins, Merchant Prince, Hunt and Legion) currently have no such requirements, and can fire when there are 5 DPS present. (Or should it ever happen; even 5 Tanks or 5 Healers.)
When you add this to the fact that the number of DPS toons vastly outnumbers the two support roles, you end up with lots of DPS queueing without the chance to pop a Dungeon until a tank and healer arrive.
So as soon as 5 DPS are present, POP... you get a Skirmish.
There is both good news and bad news on this topic.
On PC recent changes to the structure of the RLQ and RIQ have made it so that all queues, (including Skirmishes) require the 3/1/1 make up of Dungeons.
These changes are coming to a console near you in the near future.
The GOOD news is that this will undoubtedly result in more variety of content firing.
The BAD news is that, due to the lack of healers in particular, all RIQ and RLQ are going to take a lot longer to pop. So what may currently be two or three minutes for a Skirmish will become (quite possibly) 15 or 20 minutes (depending on Healer availability) or even longer. (And you might STILL only get the same bloody Skirmish)
Hope this helps...
"Gee, we want you to play healers but we're going to nickel and dime your ability to actually do what we want you to do! Errr..... yea. Here, have some AD. Isn't this fun?"
