Crafting Lumber

So, I'm kind of new to Neverwinter, having just hit level 70 going through the quests and ignoring crafting but now I'm trying to get into the crafting. I just reached the A clean Slate quest and I want to do the ash lumber +1 but even though I've purchased every tool from the npc vendor no tool is accepted for it... Anyone know where I can get the tool for this?

    There is a stack of boxes behind the Artisan table. It generally doesn't sparkle until you are next to it. In there you will find Worn tools you can use for professions under level 10.

    To complete the quest it may be quicker to either buy the Ash Lumber +1 from the Auction House, or if you have a friend that can make it easier than you, ask them for a favor.
