Equipment drops gone?

I started a new character on preview and noticed that while leveling up in Tower and Blackdagger areas none of the monsters except for mimics dropped any equipment. I saw that they were removing the id scrolls and the need for them but haven't been able to find mention of removing equipment drops. If they have could anyone kindly direct me to the post. :)

    I noticed that as well. Possibly someone assumed that all equipment was being converted to refinement points and decided to just drop RP stones. WRONG!! This is the last indirect source of coin that was left after foes stopped dropping kits (skill and injury) and potions.

    How are we supposed to run Professions tasks without coin? Make stuff to sell on Auction House and then convert AD to gold? Convoluted.
