Chultan Tiger

I have just upgraded my Chultan Tiger to legendary, i then proceed to summon it, add the three bondings and attempted to add the rings but it does not allow me to equip the rings. I have tried the rings on all of my other companions and they equip without a problem.
I have tried to equip all types of rings to the Chultan Tiger but none equip. I have unequipped the enchantments on both rings and still the rings do not equip on the companion. I get no errors on screen but the sound of equipping the ring happens.
