[PC] Can't get into game

hey anyone else having a problem where game loads up till neverwinter page then screen goes black and game goes nonresponsive? i cant get ot character selection page at all

    same problem... I click play on the launcher and then everything goes black and freezes. Doesn't even show up when I use task manager and the only way to remove it is by logging out/shutting down computer. All it gives me is a black screen with the bottom bar that windows has.

    Same here. I get through the CRYPTIC loading screen, then the neverwinter loading screen freezes and game crashes.
    What did you break guys?

    I didn't even get to CRYPTIC, I click play, it goes to the black screen fullscreen and freezes

    I'm getting all kind of weird disconnects and lag, would be really nice if this stuff was actually working before it gets deployed.

    specifically, i restarted my router while in VT, when i came back, i first joined some random group somehow, then got disconnected twice, then finally found my actual party.

    I can not get to the character selection page because the game is stuck 'loading'. Been loading 20 minutes now. 3rd time today.

    Update your drivers, and this is a known issue: see the sticky at the top of the page.

    My driver is brand new; updated 3 days ago. Computer is 9 months old. In Mod 5 worked perfectly. In Mod 6 had to start on safe mode. Now won't load at all. Stuck 'loading' before character selection screen.

    1. Don't open fullscreen
    2. Don't be in multi monitor environment
    3. blackscreen can take a while (5min+) after update. Only once
    4. try Directx 9 mode
    There are more than BIS players in this game

    FORCING the majority of your player base to play 4 mod old dungeons and trial will have a bad result on player base
    Changes are getting so bad i would rather prefer no new changes (RIP ICE FISHING in winter fest)

    Same problem here. Started about 10:30 with lockups while in game play. Now I can't even get to the cryptic screen. Really got bad after I went to the guild stronghold.

    updating your drivers doesnt help i have tried everythin g everyone has said and the game still will not work for me

    Ive gotten into game, but each time I have to do start in safe mode and wait the extra 10-15 mins it seems, but hey I got to donate some stuff to stronghold today and do professions at least.

    Don't use -d3d11, that will simply cause the same error you've been experiencing. Use -d3d9, and run the game in safe mode. The game may become unresponsive for a few minutes, but eventually you will reach the character select screen, just be patient.
