Running a workshop bug

I seems to be stuck in the quest running a workshop. I got so far as to picking some artisans, picked 2 and dismissed 2. Now I chose to be a jewelsmith but I can't finish the step to create my first item because I don't seem to have the right type of artisan but I also have no way to get new artisans until the quest is finished... And solutions?
