Starter expedition to Stardock not doable

Entering the expedition, the HP bar of the boss - Thoon Hulk (that was probably in the boss room) appeared and started rapidly decreasing and died. After fighting through the critters and reaching the boss room, there was no boss, only the critters. Since we didn't kill the boss ourselves, the quest took it as the area wasn't cleared, me and my party couldn't go back, only by defeatme. We left a group of critters before the boss room, we suspected that we need to kill those as well, but to no use. The invisible wall remained, the portal to the other expedition map didn't open.
Abandoning the map helped, we got a different boss - Inquisitor that was untouched until we arrived to the boss room.
