Pet Offense slot for dps path count for tank or healing? ?? Or not

I would like to ask something to long tester out there. About pet active bonus on barbarian and fighter, does this mean we only got 1 offense active pet buff or only at sentinel and vanguard?? It doesn't make sense dps path but count as tank.

Well this kinda count on Cleric and fighter dps path too.

I'm not testing anymore because I just want to see the game new mechanic and gameplay. But pet change kinda concern me a lot as Gwf or barbarian main spending a lot of time grinding for 5 active pet for offense slot then it just become useless after having 5 of them at legendary.

The "offense" and "defense" slots don't limit what stats can appear there. A Phase Spider offers both Combat Advantage and ArP, IIRC - and is a Defense Slot companion. Use defensive stats in it when you're tanking, offensive when you're DPS.
