Companion Suggestions

Hi,

A couple ideas for companions.

1: Allow the summoned companion skin to be changed just like the mount skins can be changed. While the Chultan Tiger is cool looking, a Dread Warrior with the Chultan Tigers powers would look even cooler. Or whatever companion you have in your inventory.

2: The ability to Convert/Refine upgraded companions into Companion Upgrade Tokens. Having excessive legendary companions collecting dust doesn't do much for game appeal.

3: Update older companions. Shadow Demon was great at the time of its release and may still be used by lower item level character. However the Mount and Companion Affinity section where the cool down drops from 30 seconds to 20 seconds if you are wearing Drow Armor is antiquated. No one is wearing Drow Armor when Primal Armoris so easily accessible.

Thank you,

Malus

Companions should give stats to the player as a percentage and not flat stats. Companions that give 100 Deflection points are outdated and useless for players now. Simply updating the flat values to a higher value will just mean that you need to update the values again later. A percentage based approach will mean less work and help future proof the solution. Attention should be made to the companions that give base power for the power-share classes.

A way to re-summon a companion that has died and you're in combat would be really helpful. Too many times has my Tiger leapt into the sea in FBI to chase an explosive runestone whilst we're waiting for the Turtle to appear. Or in CODG where the companions just run off the edge for no discernible reason. The player should not have to suffer because the AI controlling the companion is not good enough. A suggestion would be to know the last companion for the player (not account but player) and have the Lliara's Bell check to see if "A" companion is summoned for the player, if yes, health, resurrect the companion; if no then summon the companion and ensure the companion is at full health - EVEN if the player is in combat.
