Taking a step back at classic D&D rules, there are 9 core classes, archer, thief, cleric, wizard, fighter, monk, bard, druid, and paladin. NW was started with 4th Ed rules and during the first year, became a hybrid with 5th Ed rules.

Definite agreement with you, and it always makes me laugh when people suggest something so far off the beaten path (werewolf 'class', or 'vampire' class, for example). Cryptic is beholden to the D&D license, and WotC will give their stamp of approval to things before it goes live. That means, for classes, you're going to see major stuff from the PHB and major sourcebooks first, before some homebrew from a D&D wiki - which is why the "big 3" are the most often cited classes to be coming next - Druid, Bard, Monk. All in the PHB, and considered 'classic' classes.

As for Barbarians and Sorcerers - they are in the game in everything but name only - your CW and GWF cover that. Sorcerer / Wizard spell lists are pretty much the same. GWF has a 'rage' mechanic on Tab. Don't expect those two.

So - in the future, before making suggestions for a class, I'd ask that people take a look at the PHB, and D&D, for what is likely to be coming. If it isn't, at the very least, in a WotC product, you can be pretty sure it isn't going to suddenly appear in Neverwinter.
