Why do I see more runs for specific dungeons than for parties to pre-form for Random Queue runs?
Why aren't you LFM RQ eDung + Skrim?

In all seriousness, I wouldn't be opposed to having more random group teams. I think people just do it with guilds / friends, and call it a day. EDungeon isn't even considered for most folks, I'm 13.2k IL and I still can't get in due to the Spell-Plauge requirement from dreaded river district. I also don't have the Runic pieces for Svardborg, so... As a 13k IL I can run Cloak Tower and Master of the Hunt essentially. I mean the runs go fast at least, but I kind of miss LFM ELoL.I'm a theorycrafter, that means I can answer fairly deep questions with scientific theory, mathematical proof, and some guessing. Ask me stuff!10 -

I said before the qs were implemented that I wasn't going to participate, and I haven't.
Mainly because many of the people I run with get random snrs and crashes that can last well over 5 mins, meaning they will get booted before they can come back. I don't want to get trapped in FBI or Spellplague with half of a premade where the other half (random replacements) can't help to complete. So I'm not about to put myself in that situation. I'd rather have a more enjoyable playtime in dungeons of my own choosing with less AD than be trapped in hell runs.
The whole account-wide unlock thing allowing everyone to bring undergeared, underbooned alts to all the things does not inspire confidence, either.
And after watching my spouse try to do true randoms, it's exactly what I had thought when I swore I'd never try it. He tries it often. He goes, gets FBI or SP, ppl leave immediately, they have to wait for replacements, and then in the end the groups can't complete. Why on earth would I do that?9 -

IMO it’s because of how the queue system works. I tried to form a random epic dungeon group but people weren’t interested. You are more likely to get FBI or mSP if you have a full group to queue with. If you solo queue than you are more likely to be matched with someone that queues for a specfic dungeon which in my case has not been the two aforementioned dungeons. Because I think most players know not to queue for the near impossible or they just haven’t unlocked it yet and want to run a t1 or t2 still.
If they were to move FBI and mSP into their own queue system then I would bet more people would be doing the t1 and t2 Dungeons randomly instead of queuing specifically. If and when I do get FBI or mSP, I will just abandon the instance. Just last night an alliance member was in FBI for 2+ hours from the random queue. I logged off before I found out if they actually completed it. As fun as that sounds, I think I will take the penalty to avoid that.9 -

it is so simple why and that is because of fbi it is a horrible dungeon to do, and that is me saying that i am a op and can tank all dungeons.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]7 -

For me it is due to spellplague. I don't mind fbi, hell, ill even deliberately solo queue for that, but I don't want to set foot in that laggy hellhole known as SP. If it wasn't such a laggy place I wouldn't mind so much though. My experience with random queues so far is 4/5 times I have done it I ended up in SP.10 -

Although I randomly queued for the epic dungeons nearly every day at least once, I was fortunate not to endure mSP at all so far as well as some other dungeons on the list. In fact, I got Malabog once, eLol and eToS a few times and also FBI, but nothing else.
While I always roll my eyes when I end up in FBI I have to admit that people got used to the dungeon by now. All FBI runs that I had with the random epic dungeon queue were successful and I always queued solo. FBI has lost its terrifying aura for me, I don't mind running it with a PUG anymore, because by now people know what they are supposed to do to run it successfully, as it happened to all dungeons in the past. (I remember times when running eCC legit was a myth and usually you had to try to make Blackdagger jump into one of the pits.) And if you get into a group with people ignorant to the difficulty of the dungeon, you can tell most likely during the ascent towards Hati already and leave then. But there is no reason anymore - for me - to leave FBI upon entering it.6 -

I have no issues solo queuing Skirmish but don't do Epic Dungeon for the most part. I hate Master Spellplague and have no desire to run it. While I might do it with friends, it would be a rare thing. Not particularly interested in running FBI with randoms either. So I might join a premade with friends/guildies, there is no other way I'm touching that mess.
The one time I solo queued, it was on my main CW and after an hour and 2 tries at Kabal, I gave up. Frankly, I hate giving up unless everyone else wants to and I'm just not interested in gambling that I don't get something unplayable. My Tanks and DCs don't exist to fill quotas and the DPS take as long to get in as they did before the RQ."We have always been at war with Dread Vault" ~ Little Brother5 -

He's a tank. He almost exclusively gets fbi and sp. Mostly sp. I'm a DC--I expect the same result would happen for me were I to q.mentinmindmaker said:

I *very* rarely see FBI or MSP come out of the RED. In those few cases it is normal to just quit out and eat the 30 minute lockout.
30 minute lockout is not really disastrous, is it?
And while 30 mins is not disastrous, it's not really "fun", either, if I'm wanting to do dungeon runs. Which would be the whole point of the qing thing--to run dungeons. Not sit around and wait for players, or sit around and wait for lockouts to end. His experience in random qs is, for the most part, the opposite of running dungeons. As in not.
So given all that, for me, even attempting the whole thing is not worth the 9k ad I might receive on a completed dungeon to deal with it. So I don't.

I did do LFM/LFG in private channels such as alliance and guild channel.
However, I seldom do that for RQ even in private channel these days.
Reasons:
1. If I do RQ skirmish, I just go alone.
2. I don't do RQ level dungeon much. May be once for a long while. If I do, I do get in through private channel LFM.
3. Not many people asked for RQ in my private channels comparing with before (as asking for dungeon run before mod 12b).
4. I can't estimate time for RED. I usually cannot commit one hour continuously without interruption.
5. I don't know if my toon I am playing can do it (for RED). I play different characters. If someone asked for (say) vt/CN/FBI, I know the character I am playing is capable to do that or not. However, (depends on which character I am playing) I sure know he/she can't do FBI or not even CN (if RQ pops that). I don't like to quit after joining the party. I also don't like sinking the party by staying. Hence, I may as well not join to begin with.
6. I don't hunt for AD that badly.
7. Since RQ is killing the mood of running dungeon these days, my attention these days is to grow a new character.

Cause of MSP and FBI are in Random Epic Dungeon queues i dont do RED.
Have done 2 tries and got FBI and MSP with so undergeared /underbooned ppl. that its impossible to do.
Even if i would build a group to do RED it might be possible to get FBI or MSP and that is mostly impossible with these ppl.
So i do some RED only with guildmates i know they are capable of doing it.
In my opinion it was a big mistake to put MSP and FBI into RED.

I still play every day, but many of my guild mates that used to run dungeons all the time have been playing less and less
We have several new recruits that we are helping gear up for dungeons, so maybe I will run with them more regularly, but I honestly just can't get excited about running T1-T2s for salvage over and over again
I should, since the only redeeming part of 12b (improved refinement) also seems to increased the amount of AD I need to actually upgrade anything... I think I have gotten one GMOP since 12b started from a lockbox, so I have to spend a lot more money on buying the increased amounts of marks and stones6 -

FBI and MSP are just in a totally seperate category to things like eToS/eGWD and no offense to pugs, but a lot of them, as they have always done, queue to get carried and that's because the iLevel requirements are too low for them.
Cryptic aren't known for testing things, let alone testing things well and while an experienced group might complete FBI/MSP/TONG at recommended iLevels they had to be fucking smoking something if they thought pug groups could.
How many RED's are being run by people every day who impose this crap on us? And if the argument is well you can abandon/suffer a leaver penalty if it's too hard, why even put a 4 hour limitation on abandon or 30 minute ban if the philosphy behind this logic is well just quit bitch.
Rewards in chests are RNG enough, how many RED's do I have to run to get a Bloodstained Shirt? If I pugged it before RQ it was an avg of 50 runs per unique drop, whether it's Bloodstained Shirt/Deepknights etc etc.
The logic behind it is poor and inorganic, it does not create a seamless experience and the fact that you have to play with 30 minute bans cries exploit more than any chest with a button on it that says Decline.

If devs are telling us that there is no need to run RED's I really hope they aren't scratching their heads over why we aren't running it, or at least why (I think) a sizeable portion of their playerbase aren't playing the queues the way they thought they would, only they know the numbers. But numbers can be played like when they said only a minority of legitimate players were abusing the Decline button on chests, well it would be a minority if they compared the numbers of players against the 15m accounts that have joined Neverwinter. Truthful, kind of, disengenuos with the facts at best.
The RED queue was supposed to help us to enjoy content that people weren't playing. There was a reason players weren't playing that content and I'm not saying they were wrong I'm saying the reason we have a 30 minute leaver ban is because they knew players would get FBI and quit immediately and queue again. A 30 minute leaver penalty is pretty reasonable if you want the AD from RED queue, at least those that I know of and the channels that I frequent would rather forego that AD so there should be absolutely no confusion at all at why it is not a popular queue.Post edited by jumpingmorks on6 -

Ok, so yeah. The reason I don't random epic with premades is because it's a public q, and it comes with a 5 minute afk kick timer, which I hate.

For me it is very simple. I do not have any interest in running random content where the game picks what I am going to be dropped into. Choosing the content I play is an integral part of how I get fun and entertainment from playing this game. I don't bother with premades for RED because it is a lot faster to just solo queue and I can do other stuff like weeklies while I wait for the queue to pop.
It is very rare I end up in a PUG that is unable to complete in a reasonable time. And if that happens, a 30 minute lockout is no big deal to me. I got other characters to play if I am doing the AD farm business.5

I occasionally see requests for people in the Legit Channel (2 people can be found running groups that I've seen) and sporadically in Relentless alliance and the 3k Zerg channel. It doesn't seem to be that popular.
Then, you queue in, and get FBI/MSP,
will you stay with the party or leave?
will other players stay or leave?
if you or other players leave the dungeon, then what will you do?
Will you make a new party in LFG and try again?
Or will you simply solo random queue, and hope to get an easy dungeon?
I have two characters who are geared enough to do Random Epic Queues. I will queue on one character, and if I get FBI/MSP, then depending on my mood/time available, I might try to get the group to at least finish the first boss, or just quit, take the leaver penalty, and switch to my other character and try queueing on that one. I have actually finished FBI solo queueing in random epic queue, but it was long, probably about 2 hours. With MSP, no group in my experience has even finished the first boss.
No more Epic RQs for me, thank you.
Saying that, I know its my patience level. I will RQ skirmishes but if I get Thrones and there is someone that doesn't pay attention to where the hulks are pointed, or blissfully kills them more than once I leave the instance. I just exit the game after I've done that, and play something else - I refuse to be penalized for someone else's play ability. I do try and politely tell people the mechanics of the game but some don't pay attention to chat or there is a language barrier.
I will RQ for the 10 person runs and I will stay in those runs until more than one person leaves - those runs are pretty straight forward so I don't mind inexperienced players there. I only random q'd for ToNG once, I keep telling myself I'll do that again but so far I haven't. The alliance I'm in runs with only one DC so it's not that part I don't like about the random q's - its just the fear of the unknown. When a group isn't fun - what's the point? So, I've reloaded a couple more games on my computer and just find myself on those more often that before.
