It seems you get a 'Dismount' option when you interact with other people... So I'm guessing you can actually take other's with you.

Good choice Cryptic.

I figured it was only a matter of time before a flying carpet was introduced. With the popularity of tenser's floating disk, it makes sense for them to try to repeat their sucessful design with another highly desirable hovering mount.

I'm suprised they went with 4k defense as the stat bonus though, defense is kind of a lame stat to be honest. I'd consider getting this mount if it had a better bonus.

The only other tweak I will sugest is making it so the epic version of this mount also allows for passengers.
I won't shell out for a legendary with a 4k defense stat bonus but I'd love the ability to fairy newbs around and would be willing to get the epic version.

Aha so I was right about the original intent of the mysterious "Dismount" button that showed up on preview when right-clicking on player names. It can be seen as removed in one of the patch note threads. I might have been a scrapped idea sadly... I would have loved it. Carry me senpai!

I will pitch a couple of sugestions for future mounts here. It occurs to me that neverwinter has no hopping mounts. With all the players who abuse the hell out of the spacebar hopping around neverwinter, its high time we had a mount that does the hopping for us XD

Racing sack, such as the ones in this picture. Maybe this would make a good summer festival mount for next year:

+ my whole guild. I did a survey. A bunny looking mount is a very popular idea. I keep asking for bunnies.. i know it is not an amazing idea as a manticore. But hey my expectations are higher now. XD

i really hope the passenger option wont stay locked on this omunt, i mean this coiuld be used in events mounts like a Sleed with a extra seat and a Water Charriot with space for a passenger (bilded on the whater horse) that would give us a awesome reason to farm those events...

I just bought myself an epic carpet of flying mount on live and got a pleasant surprise.

I asked earlier in this thread for the epic version to be tweaked so that it allows you to carry passengers just like its legendary counterpart does. I didn't see a followup dev comment to my request or anybody saying that the epic mount does allow passengers so I assumed the devs had not done this. A bystander saw me riding my epic carpet mount and asked me if it carried passengers. I told him I didn't know if it did or not but that it probably doesn't. I had him help me test it and it turns out that the epic version does in fact allow you to carry a passenger.

My thanks to the devs for making it so the epic carpet of flying mount allows for passengers just like the legendary version. This will be great for fairying around lowbie players and its very helpful that we don't have to shell out 7mil AD in order to host the passenger feature.

For anyone who doesn't know how to use the new passenger feature, here are some directions:

Join parties with a player who owns a carpet mount, stand near the mounted player, open the player interaction menu (press F or right click the player's name in chat), and then click the "pile on" option. Remember that you must be in the same party as the player you are trying to board in order for it to work, the pile on option grays out otherwise.

I'm guessing that the reason this mount only lets you carry party members is to prevent trolls from mounting random player's carpets. However, this protection measure is not needed. If someone does hop on your mount without asking, you can simply desummon your mount and the troll will fall off. I'd like to request that the devs remove the party safeguard so its easier to use this new passenger feature.
