5 minutes before the server goes down, the login server stops accepting people from logging in. So, while you were unable to log back in, the server did not go down "early," it just prevented you from logging in. I am assuming this is a data loss prevention measure. It has been this way for as long as I can remember. I am terribly sorry you were inconvenienced. Alas, server maintenance is at the same time every week for the past few years. I suggest to not try to accomplish tasks within minutes of the server going down.

Closing this up as there really is no need for such threads every week on an intentional system function that has been happening every week for four years.
