Training Day Faild

The new Quest from today "Training Day" fails over and over for absolutly no reason
it fails directly 1m after the picup
it fails in the woods without anything around
it fails 20m in front of the last target (this was the point I was ready to kill the guy in charge of the questdesign)

    15 tries, 15 different zones, following the trail exactly and no success. Therefore no reputation for the night. not impressed.

    Fix this in next patch please, so annoying to fail randomly for no reason whatsoever. We have enough annoying quests in lonelywood already that are absolutely ridiculous like the fishing one.

    This one is getting me sick.... Failing one meter from the start is a bad sign

    I'm giving up on this until it is fixed. Tried already for an hr and still fails

    The other bug report suggests that that the failure is triggered as soon as somebody *else* talks to the NPC. If so, your best bet is to somehow (!) get an instance to yourself for a few minutes, or hope you can coordinate an entire instance into not being douches so you can finish things up. I'm not sure how much substance there is to this, though.

    On behalf of entire Sanctuary guild, I can tell you we're all frustrated with this quest. Random fails with no explanation whatsoever. I wonder if anyone tested this quest before releasing new mod. This is one vote, one post, but believe me, you don't want to see Sanctuary guild chat atm.
    Also, my personal issue is fishing quest. You can't fish twice on same spot, but game allows you to do so. Moreover, when you do fish twice on same spot, you get nothing and you also don't get any info that you failed or why you failed. I had to switch instances in order to complete this bad designed quest.

    I can confirm it is possible to complete the quest, however I am not sure as to why it failed on me the 10 - 15 times before. I did the entire trail on my mount not engaging in combat anywhere, I have seen people also advise to dismiss your companion.

    Also the route I took was first heading North, but even then the quest failed a couple times on me while I was only a few feet away from the starting point where you get the trainee so something is definitely wrong.

    Update: We may have located the problem. We had over 10 of our people on same instance to prevent pugs from interfering. Then came to this theory "we found that if 3 people on the same instance take the quest and 1 fail, all on that instance running that quest will fail".
    So no matter if my trainee is alive and doing well, if someone else in my instance fail the quest, I FAIL TOO. That's why people have random fails. It's not really random, it just appears so. Frustration lvl = over9000. Did anyone ever tested this before releasing?

    Nothing new to add, except another Guild & Alliance adding its voice to the FAIL list - Guild & Alliance chat alive with complaints from appx 10 people this morning over a 2 hour period - all failing multiple times from immediately after pick-up to within a few feet of the target, all apparently for no reason - 1 player even left game to do washing-up it was that soul destroying.

    Urgent fix please!

    Doable, have to reach 1st (right) checpoint. Then rest should show up. After you fail run to left->mid->right.

    This needs a hot fix. Having a quest fail just because there is more than one person in the instance is a huge oversight.

    Let me add myself to the litany of voices decrying this quest.

    Honestly, if they're going to have broken quests one way or the other, they should just let the "oh hey you killed X and found this quest item on its corpse" quests count to the three daily quests. That way, even if someone is unable to do a bugged fishing quest or bugged training quest, they can still get their daily secrets/supplies/reputation just by going out of their way to kill the named monsters.

    I've even been to instances in which the trainee refuses to respawn after the quest fails and you pick it up again.

    Same things happen to me. Mounted, failed. Walking, failed. Running, failed. Half the time you can't even walk two feet from the campfire where you pick up the npc befire It fails.

    So basically if you get this quest you're screwed out of your daily items....wonderful.

    Random fails, no way to progress thru new campaign. No respond from Devs...

    I'm told by people who did preview that this quest was easy there. Almost nobody on, and nobody on that is just bad at the game, means it's easy to complete it before someone fails you.

    I walked 10 FEET from the start... it Failed.
    I'm CW. They don't make us walk any slower.

    Apparently if anyone on the same instance as you fails, everyone fails.
    At least that's the guess people have come up with.

    You know the one rule for all games?
    *NO ESCORT MISSIONS* (google it)

    I know BETA people skip all the dull dailies and kill the foozle 1000x,
    but could you maybe require feedback on each of these?
    The 'Fetch Quest' was a great example of this. BETA people told me they
    fought Tiamat all day, instead. No feedback = it must work. ....no.
    Did you really think anyone could steal the power of the god of thieves?

    It is probably triggered when anyone's refugee dies in your instance. Companion gets into fight and pulls mobs and mobs kill the refugee so i suggest to kill everything in your sight to make sure refugee stays alive.

    Same what we noticed.
    I was running not far behind to another player, he passed though a group of goblins, was shot down from the mount, his trainee started to shoot to goblins, goblins killed his trainee - quest failed for me also.

    Success!! I managed to get on a server where I was alone. Had several random fails even where I was alone, so other comments on "all fail if anyone fails" may be true, but not only reason.
    I succeeded by running the entire route on my mount without ever stopping. Even ran through some mobs but because of the way the trainee follows the mount, she never engaged them and I just kept going. I did NOT follow quest path but took shortest, best route also. Good luck.

    ....A big problem i see is not one of cryptic's Dev's let alone one of there lacky's have commented about this problem all day ( yes i know its Sunday ) ....so they have no one taking care of the game on weekends ? ....not even * we are looking in to it *!
