Scheduled Maintenance [8/2] - COMPLETE

Update 8:30AM: Maintenance is complete!

Neverwinter will undergo maintenance on 8/2 at 7AM PT for roughly two hours for a server reset.

    I have always been curious as to what a "server reset" does exactly for a MMO? Thanks.

    Same reason it's not a good idea to leave your own PC running continuously without a reset. Clears the memory, takes care of any resident memory leaks, plus they do backend checks (which take up the majority of the time allocated) to ensure the general health of the server and stability of databases.

    A few MMO have to do this daily due to bad memory leaks. So far this is the second time I have seen this in 3 weeks of playing. Good to see PW does not reset the server daily.

    thats nice try posting how long in game and fix these log in error zones and pirate k while your at it

    Let them work on issues while not creating new ones.

    I have seen the above statement curse a game to its death. Creating new in game bugs while old ones were fixed. YUCK!
