Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!

Saddle up everyone, you’re about to get a history lesson!
Some of you may know but more still do not, but Cinco de Mayo is a special day for people of Mexican descent. Now some people think that this is a celebration of Mexican independence, in all actuality it is not.

Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of a very special victory during the Franco-Mexican war back in 1862.

6,000 well-fortified and highly trained French soldiers set out to attack the small town of Puebla de Los Angeles. 2,000 of the Mexican people, most of whom were unskilled in the arts of advanced combat, banded together to defend the town. On May 5th 1862 the battle began. From daybreak to dusk both sides fought a fierce battle and at the end of that day the French were forced to retreat.

Now though this battle was not strategically important to the overall war effort, it became a rallying cry and a testament to the dedication and strength of the Mexican people. Today, we hold Cinco de Mayo as a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage. And we’ve decided to have a little contest to celebrate!

The rules are simple, post up screenshots of you and your friends celebrating Cinco de Mayo in game! Make sure that they’re appropriate of course, but we’ll let you get as creative as you’d like with this one! On Monday, we’ll close our forum thread and pick five winners! Those lucky five will walk away with some pretty cool and fun prizes!

The Rules:
1. Post screenshots of you and your friends in game celebrating Cinco de Mayo
2. Screenshots will be judged on creativity (photoshop is okay)
3. All screenshots must be no more than a PG-13 (keep it clean people)
4. You may enter more than once but you can only win once
5. Forum Post closes at 7pm PDT on 5/9/16

The Loot:
Winners will receive a Gallo Pet Stone! Wow us and you might get a little somethin somthin more ;)

The rewards will be sent during an upcoming maintenance!

Can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with! Enjoy the festivities!

It's a Forsaken World reenactment of the Franco-Mexican war only with a smaller ratio.

It's going down, we're yellin' TIMBEEEEER!

We don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Europe so we had no idea if there are some specific customs to this celebration, thus we did what we do best... PARTY HARD OH YEAH! (The whole tavern had to be renewed, tho.)

Since we had to keep it PG13 we had to pay the dancer some extra diamonds in order to make her keep her clothes on... Prolly the most expensive screenshot I've ever taken.
