I noticed the crab spider soldier, and it got me thinking about a black spiderman build. Here's the build im working with, I know its not much, but any help would be good, and yes I know there is a spiderman build out there.

    I guess I'm a bit confused as to what you're going for here. What sort of powers or powersets did you have in mind, mainly? Easier to just name a few attacks/powers and work around them.

    I started with darkness powers, as seen above. However, I was thinking of super strength. i'll be mixing ranged and melee together. I've done kicks to death, so none of those. Probably pick up night warrior. I definitely want shadow embrace.

    Soo.. Darkness and Unarmed, I guess? (or maybe w/ Might, though Unarmed powers can deal some Dimensional dmg). Targeting Comp wouldn't work unless you used a build w/ mostly Ranged Tech attacks, in a ranged dps build.

    For melee, you'll want to apply/refresh Fear w/ Void Shift and apply/refresh Chi Flame w/ Backhand Chop, while using charged DU as the main filler attack. At range and for AoE you can use SEmbrace. Unstoppable's extra energy on knock can help you afford DU spam, so that's why I took it over NW here. Gears mostly for Str, w/ some Con and Rec.

    awesome thanks, I like the build, curious would it be better to go with the hero innate talent, and pick up strength, and ego and con?

    No, not really. You usually want to get an innate talent that boosts your 3 SS's mainly, though overall its not going to result in a large stat diff, either way.
