  Well, one issue is that Defile doesn't always apply poison, but is still pretty expensive. That said, you'd also do quite less dmg using IBlast instead, even if its much easier to afford. You also don't really need two AoEs here. If you want some CC, Venom Breath could have the stun adv. I may also use Life Essence instead of DE if this is a ranged build and you want the spam-able heal (LE can also heal nearby allies).
  
  You could consider using Supernatural Power as the EU, as it'd work w/ Life Essence easier (esp since LE and DE don't proc the toggle innately), though be a bit more touch-and-go w/ Defile spam. Int instead of Ego could also help w/ some cost discount, though it'll be a bit less ranged dps. Could also just use Conc or Chilled Form as the toggle/form instead of AotI (won't be able to proc the toggle as easily when something is up close, but can be more reliable if at least half-charging Defile).

  If energy is an issue w/ Defile spam you could just keep using Venom Breath w/ Wisp's debuffs to continue building threat on bosses, but obv ideally you want to have good enough stats to use Defile and LE as needed. Gears mostly for Con and Int, but also a decent amount of End and Rec for energy.
  
  If you wanted an easier rotation on energy, you could replace March of the Dead w/ R3 IBlast, keep Mephitic as the EU, and alternate between charging that and Defile for single-target dps.
