Anyone know why that doesn't work on nearby pets? It would make them much more survivable for someone focused on summoning.

They may have intentionally coded it to only affect players. To a degree that's preferred, as your allies may appreciate the heals going to them instead of some pets, but I can see how that could be annoying for the pet user when out solo too.

Yea, I'm making do with Illumination... but it only heals about 1/3 what Dependency does. Only good thing is that it works on ranged and not just melee.
