One thing that's always felt a bit off is that if I'm running at full tilt using super speed and then turn on flight I'm suddenly going very slowly. I think it'd be neat if you're in 3rd gear in one power and switch to another, that transfers. That way we can do neat stuff like do a 3rd gear Super Jump into flight and just go roaring off into the distance, or do a full speed landing into full speed running.
As far as gameplay goes there really aren't any considerations since we're stuck in first gear during combat, and out of combat the benefit of being able to do this would be minimal strategically. This would just make the movement system feel smoother and make it more fun to swap between travel powers while travelling around.
